- Hey, it’s Dr. Carson Beckett from Stargate: Atlantis.

- Since when can Ralph shapeshift? In the comics, he can change the shape of his face, but not into someone else… nor into a different skin colour. Plot contrivance? What plot contrivance?

- Look at Barry being smart and doing science stuff to break out of jail. Captain Cold would be proud.

It would be nice to see Barry figuring stuff out on his own and being more of a scientist on the show since… well… that’s what he’s supposed to be….

On a side note: I figured all these criminals were doomed the moment they were told Barry was the Flash. Oh well...

- Why is this show focusing so much on Ralph’s character development? No one else outside of Barry gets that much time.

- Mrs. Devoe doesn’t seem too pleased that her husband is now a murderer.

- Well... that was a really hand-wavy way to get Barry out of jail.

Ralph!DeVoe: Oh, I woke up at home, remembering someone talking about framing Barry Allen
Judge: Well, that's enough proof for me! Barry Allen is free!
Me: Sooooo... who does the Judge think the coroner performed an autopsy on? Or do they not do homocide autopsies in Central City?

This show sometimes...

- I really hope Becky gets her body back. I liked her... and I can’t help picturing an evil Sailor Chibi-Moon now whenever she talks like DeVoe.

- Did… did this show just have DeVoe roofie his wife so she’d be compliant? Seriously? That’s all kinds of wrong and creepy.

The episode was a snooze and didn't make sense.

Ralph could never shapeshift like that. He's not Plastic Man. Didn't they have HR's face changing device handy? Oh wait I forgot Harry is just walking around with the face of Harrison Wells a known murder for reasons.

OMG the Ralph saturation wtf? We never got this much Wally, even Cisco background.

And yeah DeVoe roofied his wife. Ugh.

2/10.

Damn

I didn't watch. My fandom wasn't happy so I figured I'd skip it

I watched the previews yesterday and the Ralph thing didn't make sense. He can do too many things

SuitUp 02-07-2018 07:24 AM

Good decision. I wish I would have skipped it. Watching hurt more.

Barry getting out of prison after they step up this whole should have meant something. Instead they plop them at the West house with Joe choking his #1 to death and no official reunion moment.

We don't even see him walking out of jail.

Worse, my sexy Devoe is gone. :pout:

Nothing made sense from Ralph, to how Barry was acquitted or DeVoe spiking Marlize's drink.

What did we all do in our past lives to deserve Ralph? What sin did we commit? I wanna know.

I say this every time but I'm gonna stick to it for once. I'm gonna save up about 3 episodes. 4x14, 4x15 and 4x16!

OK, where to start...

The only interesting things about this ep were:
1. Barry using his science skills w/out the help of STARLabs. What a relief.
2. Barry finally freed.
3. Seeing Richard Brooks use his comedic chops. I've never seen him do comedy before, & him playing "Ralph" in disguise was comedic gold for him. Too bad we won't see him again. He was my "favorite" villain, maybe b/c I like the actor.

Now for what I didn't like:
1. WAY too much Ralph; I can't really stomach him too much. even though he was useful at the end to help free Barry, I still really don't like the character. And KF is useless, per usual.
2. Amunet. Can't stand her. Enough said. And those bus metas are boooring.
3. Becky Sharp. Can't stand her either, & her voice is BEYOND annoying. Now DeVoe has taken over her body & mind. What kind of sick, twisted individual is this that he keeps on body-snatching different ppl, & expects his wife to just go along w/the program? And he's trying to seduce his wife in a woman's body?:rolleyes: I think Marlize needs to hightail her butt out of Dodge ASAP.
4. What kind of lame reunion for WA was that? After all this time apart, they're just gonna be at Joe's house & eat cake? And why was Joe being shown giving Barry a hug, but Iris wasn't? WA are THE heart of the show, but they (the writers) are showcasing everyone BUT them. They're still newlyweds; how come they're not even holding hands?? These new writers need to be fired ASAP. They're dragging this show down. The opportunities they miss are atrocious.:censored::rant:

Getting Barry out was always going to be messy. I liked his scenes in prison but they should have shown the team find ways to free him instead of spending all the time on Ralph and the meta of the week. The Devoes also disappeared in 4x11 and 4x12 and that didn't help any :sigh:

I have complicated feelings about the Barry/Joe relationship. I find it very heartwarming and I believe Joe is one of the people Barry loves the most and for good reason. On the other hand I don't like it when the writers give them scenes that, from a logical standpoint, should go to Barry and Iris or even Iris and Joe or Wally and Joe. This happens way too often for my liking. In an ideal scenario Barry could have gotten an emotional scene with both Joe and Iris but since this is not always possible, Iris should come first. Sorry not sorry. Iris is the one who lives with Barry now. It was Iris that Barry was looking forward to seeing every day when he was in prison. Also, there would be no Joe/Barry if it weren't for the strong bond Barry and Iris shared as kids. The show and the fandom should remember that more often.

Also, going for group scenes all the time doesn't help in developing and paying respect to the individual relationships. A lot of friendships/familial relationships are being paid dust this season.

I can't wait to watch it, I've seen some people praising it as awesome but others didn't like it .

The episode was okay, but I'm getting bored with all the focus on Ralph.

I wish Earth-1 was in contact with Earth-38 on a regular basis. Supergirl knows a 12th Level intellect that may be able to help STAR labs with their Devoe problem ;).

SuitUp 02-12-2018 04:26 AM

So glad we're on hiatus.

I've been hearing that a lot and I kind of agree . I'm patient, though, maybe a little too much .

Yes! It doesn't make sense story-wise that they don't keep in touch about this stuff. I know it can be a budget and scheduling issue, but still.

My Katee  didn't like her first episodes earlier

Really appreciated Ralph in this episode - so 2.5 episodes of being alright with him

I didn't mind Amulet this episode :)

Pretending Devoe is alive related to getting Barry released :D

Did DeVoe kill his wife? :goof: guess will find out when I continue but
