It does. I think balance is huge. Barry is the star, so when there isn't balance, it does not work. The same thing happened on Supergirl, but they didn't self correct till it was too late. Most of the audience left. Well, that and Mon El was a horrible person and I don't think he got better. That said, I think the balance is better.

Ralph was never Mon El levels of terrible, I will give him that. He made sexist remarks but he wasn't a slave owner that was essentially abusive towards the hero.

Oh, I agree. I found him annoying or disliked him at times but MonEl made me want to throw things at the TV. To think Kara left James for that! I know she didn't choose him over James but she told him, she wanted to be single then became involved with him to the point, of obsession at times. So it seemed. Especially considering how he treated her and all women, ugh.......

Anyway, who do you think we will see for the 100th?

There wasn't anything right with the move the CW made with him. Not only was he as toxic as anything, but replacing a caring, gentle black man without valid reason with an abusive, slave owning white man is pretty racist. Not in terms of Kara, but from a production standpoint.

Idk, guess we have to wait and see.

1000% agree. I also didn't like the fact that we have Male heros with normal non hero women. But we have a woman superhero and she has to be with a superhero, or non human.

I know, right?! That was the first thing I noticed. Why can't Supergirl have her "Lois Lane" or "Iris West", if you see my point. Why does he have to be a superhuman or alien?

That's a good point. I personally loved the Wonder Woman/Steve relationship in the movie. Kara can have something similar where she's the only super-powered one in the couple.

If anything it's kind of needed. The human partner acts as somewhat of a grounding force.
