- Awww, Cecile is moving in with the Wests. How cute.

- When did Wally learn Japanese?

- Caitlin: Joe, I can never make up for the things I did to you and Cecile…
Me: Umm… aren’t you forgetting someone? You know, the woman you tried to help Savitar kill? Joe’s daughter?

- Poker Face always seems to wake Barry up.

- Someone needs to analyze everything Barry said. They’re hints to future episodes, I’m sure of it.

- “We’re gonna need more diapers.” Oooh… someone saw the WestAllen twins in the Speedforce!

- Iris’s little speech to Confused!Barry made me all misty-eyed…

- Iris’s touch always manages to jump-start Barry’s powers! Love it.

- Barry’s gibberish: This house is bitchin’
Me: That sounds more like tweenager Bart Allen...

- Iris having the ultimate faith in Barry and sacrificing herself to the Samurai. Go girl!

- Rule #1 for getting Barry off his ass: tell him Iris is in trouble

- “Barry, you came back to me!” “Always.” I love these two!

- So… The Thinker is sporting the Davros look... Well... okay, then.

- No more broody Barry? YES!

What a magnificent start to the season. I am still smiling after watching the episode.

Random thoughts:

-Wally's sudden Japanese had me laughing.

- Candice did a great job of showing both strength and pain inside of Iris. I love that Iris got to explain why she was acting the way that she was.

- Tears, I conjured up quite a few based on Candice and Grant blowing me away with their acting chops.

- We're going to need more diapers! < WestAllen = SO having Twins!

- You came back to me. So gorgeous.

- Barry telling Iris how proud he was of her was the best.

- Guaranteed there's way more to Barry's babbling and scribbles. I think his babbling consisted of both past and future events all mixed in together. They all mean something and so does his scribbling.

- Loved the Cisco and Iris stuff. Too bad it wasn't light fun and severely dramatic instead but I have a feeling, to my extreme happiness, Iris and Cisco are developing a beautiful friendship.

- The plot with Amunet and Caitlin is very interesting.

- So I guess Caitlin is still going to flirt back and forth between regular Caitlin and Killer Frost until she gains more control of her powers and sense of self. What kind of annoys me is they introduced the cure. She could have gotten rid of this battle for good but didn't take it. Kind of sucks. Oh well, she'll get through it.

- I loved how this was essentially a pretty dramatic episode but they found a way to insert some humor too.

- Loved the Cisco/Barry and Cisco/Caitlin moments.

- Iris as Team Leader kicks all kinds of a$$. Hope it remains.

- This house is bitchin, haha.

- Of course it was Iris who woke Barry up. How much strength and faith in her true love with Barry did she have by sacrificing herself in order to make Barry whole again?

- Iris doing the voice over was a pleasant surprise.

- Cecile moving in with the Wests is just perfect.

- Caitlin does kind of need to tell Joe in addition to screwing with his relationship with Cecile... she also was okay overall with Iris dying too. She's lucky Joe didn't call her out on that.

- I repeat... every little thing Barry said means something. What he said wasn't just random stuff that means nothing... nope, his words ALL mean something. Get to work Cisco, hopefully Caitlin!

- Iris's speech to messed up Barry, I could hear a million times and cry a million times.

- “Barry, you came back to me!” “Always.”

- The Thinker is introduced. Bring it!

- Since Barry seems super carefree, happy and at peace does this mean our hope for finally a season back to the basics... fun and fairly light is really and truly happening in season 4? I hope so!

- However, based on Iris's look at the end it appears as if WestAllen have some stuff to work on. Barry went through hell and back, literally, but so did Iris. I am sure they will have to talk about Barry so willingly going into the Speed Force and the effect it had on Iris with trust, stability, etc. They will need to communicate and iron out some kinks but of course they will get through it since they are epic.

- Barry and Iris are the motor that keeps this show running smoothly. They are beautiful.

Great episode and the Reborn cause felt it was targeted not just at Barry but also Iris which was a very likable character. Caitlin especially with her last scene was intriguing. Joe showing a moving on with Cecile

Hi, everyone! I'm new here. First time posting.

I have loved the Flash.. Each season. BUT I have some negative thoughts about this episode.

- So, Berry is "trapped" in the Speed Force but it only takes half an episode to get him out? Would it really kill them to keep him there? It would be fun to explore the group more without him.

- And when they do get Berry out, he's crazy. Great. Another challenge. That is solved in less than 15 minutes. And all it takes is for Iris to just ask?

- Caitlin is not Killer Frost. She's some weird version of Jekyll and Hyde?

Basically, there are no consequences to this show. Heck, even Iris get purposefully captured because she knew everything would be OK. I wanted to see Iris more without Berry, she was actually compelling than with him. I really wish they could have focused on Wally, since he could have taken on the mantle of Flash. It's not like that's a crazy idea.

Now, what they were given was great. And there were some cool moments. Berry's craziness, Cisco is fun again. But it just feels like this show takes no risks.

6 months was the time jump between Barry walking into the SpeedForce and the premiere of 4x01

ITA it would have been nice to see MORE of the team working without him but The Flash, so its really a show that couldn't be without Barry for an extended time. I wished it could have been an arc to see how the team worked without him - Arrow did an arc when Ra's "killed" Oliver and threw him off a cliff - was a good 2 to 3 episodes, so I agree would have been nicer to have seen more of Iris in charge and how the team worked

It went differently than I predicted - granted predicted it would have to do with something to do with a villian but until the trailer couple weeks ago - thought we wouldn't see Barry until finale scene or even after credits

She is some kind of Jekyll and Hyde that highly interested me honestly - so am intrigued to see where it goes

I see that Caitlin still cannot use her powers without transforming into some kind of super villain. In other words, she only knows how to suppress her ability and not control it. That's sad. And we're already into Season 4. I find myself wondering if the series will end well for Caitlin.


I think you're making the same mistake that many had made about Flashpoint last year. Everyone thought the Flashpoint story arc had ended when Barry reversed it at the end of the Season 3 premiere. Instead, Flashpoint ended up having major consequences for the rest of the season.

I think we should wait and see if there are consequences for Barry after his time in the Speed Force, before making that kind of judgment.

Haven't been here for a minute, but it's nice to be back!

Seeing the Team working together in the beginning was nice; they were functioning as a pretty well oiled machine.

Joecile-sooo cute And they're living together? Go ahead, you two!

Poor Iris has to sleep on the couch. Sleeping in the same bed she once shared w/Barry is too much for her.

Wasn't crazy about the whole Samauroid (sp?)thing, but I guess The Thinker rigged it up. More about him later. And when did Wally learn Japanese?

Why Caitlyn is working in a bar is beyond me. And who is the guy w/the weird eye? And who is it exactly that has "control" over her? And why is she the Flash 's version of Jekyll & Hyde? And how much longer do we have to put up w/this?

At first, I was wondering why Iris didn't want Barry back, & then I realized that she was hurt & angry b/c he, in her eyes, just abandoned her. She kinda got over that, just a little bit, when she saw him again. (Question, WHY was Barry naked when he got out of the SF?) On the first viewing, I thought that Barry was talking major gibberish, but on closer inspection, I realized that he was talking about things from his past & his future (hello, Tornado Twins!) It'll be interesting how the rest of the season, & these potential storylines will work out. I'm excited to see these possibilities.


About the Thinker...really don't have much thought about him I know he's a major villain, but that's about it. And it took him six months to rig up that whole Samauroid thing? Well, at least the Big Bad isn't another speedster. He looks rather dumb w/all those cables hooked up to his head, but I'll wait & see how this all pans out. Hopefully this really will be a season of lightheartedness, & the wool wasn't pulled over our eyes.
