The Flash is the #1 show. Fact. All the ratings from CW, ABC, FOX, NBC and CBS fluctuated. Fact. That's not an opinion. That's the numbers. :shrug:

We can absolutely agree to disagree on what was and wasn't soap opera like. You think Killer Frost was exciting. I think it didn't make sense and was part of the soap opera element, that's on the writers. I still want to see Killer Frost but I didn't find it exciting to watch her be a lackey. I hope they give her good material in Season 4.

The cast was very excited about KF, Iris as Team Leader, Wally taking the helm and Barry being happier. It was great to see them so optimistic. Everyone in the cast wants a lighter tone they believe it became too dark but nobody spoke about wanting less romance. Carlos talked about the plans for Cisco/Cynthia, Grant and Candice talked about Barry/Iris, Jesse and Tom talked about Joe/Cecile. They were all joking happily about Barry/Iris' wedding. Unless there was a comment about not wanting Caitlin to have another romance that I missed. Nobody had issues with romance at the SDCC.

The main thing Grant talked again and again at his roundtables and in the group interviews was about was the writing being heavy and wanting it to be fun and light because it took an emotional toll on him. From everything he said his character is headed toward happy things. "Barry, he’s happy to be home with his fiancee, they’re looking forward to the wedding." So the gloom and doom is behind everyone.

I signed up for fun, action and romance. I do with every show. I'm excited to see Season 4 deliver.

Carlos does like Cisco having depth and not just being comic relief though.

Is everyone cool with Julian not returning as a series regular? I feel like Caitlin got her closure with Julian at the funeral.

I think when they go tell and show what each one has done in those 6 months, they will tell what happened to Julian; and who knows, create a door for him to reappear if necessary.

I think it will be good to see Caitlin with no romantic interest this season, we need to see her deal with deeper issues in herself than to fall in love with someone.

As for Caitlin, she is certainly the E-01 Caitlin, I believe she has managed to control how to use her powers; for example, be able to change hair color to white when she activates the Killer Frost side and when it is not necessary to use her powers so actively, her hair color returns to normal color. But her personality must have changed, we see through clothing and makeup and attitude, she must be more self-assured, less introspective and hesitate.

I'm really digging this new Caitlin. Way hotter as well.

That is a way to round us his character. It has been 6 months. He probably went back to England and could return for a guest appearance.

Although I didn't ship Snowbert, it's not great to have yet another season of the revolving door of love interests. I would hope they would refrain from doing it again this season and allow her to be single because each season she has a full blown new love interest which takes up a lot of her time only for it not to last. She can do other things than fall for the new male guest star. They need to avoid that.

So a different side to Cailtin, she's not KF but she's not the Caitlin from before fully either. I like how you described it self-assured and less introspective. It seems like every character is going through a metamorphosis. Caitlin, then Iris with becoming the leader and essentially the commander-in-chief, Cisco embracing being Vibe and being the hero, alongside Wally as Kid Flash. I love it! :love:

They will touch on it briefly, he isn't a regular so it'll be short and we'll get the gist of it.

Same, I get tired of seeing her get let down by each guy she is paired with, hopefully the writers have heard us and will continue to build her independently which is going well so far. We have just a few seconds of her in the trailer and we're all excited to see more, it's awesome!

Yeah I side with this too. Because I think the writers are building someone new with our Caitlin. I feel like the introduction to Caitlin from S1-2 was closed off and guarded. Now with this new outlook on life, her becoming more brave and less insecure about who she is and what she wants, we're going to see a "no prisoners" take on her character. It's really cool how they morphed her from how she used to be, sweet and humble to almost like a Mystique-type personality where she shows off more of her femininity.

They say when you change wardrobe it changes your persona too, I'm liking this new confident version of our Caitlin, I can't wait to see the full scenes of her return. :D
