Anyone know why they are sidelining Caitlin so much to prop up a ship no one cares about and arc about saving a damsel in distress that does nothing?

I love any scene with Caitlin, Killer Frost and Team Flash but I'm feeling like the writers don't care about either of those right now. It's becoming less about Barry too and he is the main character. Just like with Arrow and Olicity, the show is revolving around a love interest for Barry, not to mention, her step-brother growing up.

It's really difficult to watch the show now, I used to be such a huge fan. I thought they would never do what Arrow did and sideline the lead female to prop up another that has no development.

I don't think she's being sidelined but the writers have never been consistent with her powers and characterization. Killer Frost still at large is one of the headlines they're trying to change so I expect them to revisit that arc before the end of the season. Will they commit to it or will there be a Caitlin-centric episode and then we're back to square one? I guess we just have to wait and see.

I definitely doubt Caitlin is being ignored for WestAllen since they get five minutes of screen time when they're lucky and the cast is too bloated. And Iris is not stealing Caitlin's storyline so I don't get why you're blaming her and only her for Caitlin getting "sidelined". Actually, I do but I'm going to ignore the fact that you obviously have a problem with Barry loving Iris and not a woman he never showed an ounce of romantic interest in.

And can we please stop calling Barry and Iris siblings, step-siblings, half-siblings, adopted siblings when there's no evidence in canon that they're related? You don't have to like them together but there's nothing legally or morally wrong with them possibly marrying each other.

I'm going to avoid listing all the reason why I disagree with your opinion on Iris, Barry and Team Flash since this isn't the thread for that kind of discussion but...

Caitlin is not the female lead. Iris is the female lead and always has been. Maybe that's why you feel like Caitlin is getting sidelined? You didn't know who the actual female lead is?
