Hi everyone ,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customizing message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or color suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colors will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us .

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colors will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customized look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customized will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customization process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Rae or Mel a PM or ask the Team on the message board customization thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customized.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colors get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

Colors:
Okay, suggestion time! I think red and yellow/orange are the colors that instantly come to our minds when we think of The Flash, but since red and yellow can be two very complicated colors, how about we go with them as secondary colors and adopt blue as our main color? There's a lot of blue on the show and Zoom is coming, and his color is blue. How about a color scheme like this, something like this pic:

I think we should stick to our core regulars. Barry, Iris, Joe, Cisco, Caitlin and Harrison/Eobard. I think Iris and Joe should be right beside Barry.

The Access Holywood photoshoot looks really cool and it could work if we got with the blue/red/orange theme.

And Flave I love your post, it is so helpful . I personally think that The Flash should be included but I do not watch the show, just Arrow and have a basic understanding of what this show is about.

The first colour scheme Flave posted would be too bright to use. The second one and the one posted by Cece would work well though . Reds and oranges can be hard to use as they are harsh on the eyes, or at least certain shades, but they fit the show so we will do what we can using them. If we focused more on blues and added in hints of red and orange in things like the top bar (currently blue), links, and buttons (reply to thread, ect.) that may be easier on the eyes .

Yep . I'm so over waiting for them to release them, if they ever are releasing new ones this season . Thank you so much for waiting .

About the colors, yay! I love that the blue with hints of red and orange could work, I think it would represent the show really well, and they also match the cast pics, so two birds, one stone .

Do we need an order for the characters? I think Barry and Iris are the most iconic characters, so Barry/Flash first/bigger, then Iris, Joe, Caitlin, Cisco and then Harrison/Eobard? What do you guys think?

I agree with scarlet red being used, to match his suit colour .

My suggestion is:

1 - The Flash
2 - Barry
3 - Iris
4 - Joe
5 - Cisco
6 - Caitlin
7 - Harrison

Do you guys agree? I feel like the order doesn't really matter after Joe, but him, Barry and Iris are the mains/most prominent IMO.

Yes and no. I love them, but it would be kinda weird if Cisco or Caitlin were front and center. Barry, Iris and Joe are the show's main family and the ones that should come first or get more exposure IMO.

I think we shouldn't include Eddie, he's "dead" and not a regular anymore. He might never come back.

Henry has never been a regular and we don't even have any promo pics of him. He's been in 7 of 23 episodes, so I think he shouldn't be included. He'll probably still be a recurring character for the foreseeable future.

By the way, Rae, Wells = Harrison .

They are the main family but this is primarily a superhero show, so the main villain is supremely important
I don't think he should be last...anywhere form 2nd to 4th works for me.

True . I'm just unsure if Tom will ever play Eobard again. Maybe he'll just be Harrison from now on. I think 4th is a good place for him, but I wouldn't mind 3rd.

I think, to keep things simple, maybe stick with just The Flash/Barry in the header. The other characters/villains are prone to change on a seasonal basis.

My suggestion:

A picture of The Flash in the header side-by-side with a picture of Barry sans costume.

I don't watch the show but this is what I usually think it's best when it comes to super hero shows/shows that usually change characters often.
