- Iris likes ‘80s music… But she should leave the cooking to Barry.
- Barry eating Iris’s terrible cooking? That’s true love right there. - Look at Ralph being useful figuring stuff out with Cicada - Hey, Joe is standing! He’s still not walking though. I have a feeling Jesse L. Martin broke his leg or something. - Aww, Nora and Iris had a moment of bonding over saving the day. - I love Iris figuring out Spencer’s plan and being the brilliant investigator that she is. - So now we know why Nora is cold to Iris. I'm sure Iris had a good reason for doing what she did. Maybe Nora's life was at risk with her powers (like Bart Allen in the comics)? Either way, it was something that "Papa Joe" and "Mama Cecile" had agreed to keep from Nora, as well as whoever is left of Team Flash in the future. Did Nora ever ASK her mother why she did it, or did someone get in her head and tell her some BS just to make her hate Iris? Maybe the same person who talked Nora into travelling to the past? Hopefully we’ll find out soon. - Sooo… there’s Meta-tech now? That could be interesting. - Not only does Cicada have a meta-knife, but now he has super-strength due to being stabbed by the dark matter-infused metal he made that knife from? Hmmm.... Cisco got stabbed by that knife too… - Next time on The Flash: That creepy contortionist from America’s Got Talent! __________________

Or perhaps Iris' action is related to what happened to Zari Tomaz's family in the future. __________________

I know Zari was on the run in 2042, but Nora was born before that. She must have had that chip put in her at a fairly young age since she didn't know about it until recently. __________________

Yes, but if the chip was placed inside Nora at such a young age, then the meta-human hunt must have began several years before 2042. According to "LEGENDS", Zari was a young girl in 2018. __________________

I wouldn't mind this plot tying back to what happened in Zari's future.
For now the most simple explanation is that Iris did that to protect Nora from someone as anti-meta as Cicada. Nora said he's early but how early is he? Because he was already a dangerous, powerful foe before Barry disappeared in 2024. __________________

Iris in the future must have had a good reason for doing what she does to Nora.

OK, this is much better than the last 2 weeks...
First, as always, getting the negative out of the way: I know that it'll be rectified soon, but I was NOT feeling the way Nora was so blatantly disrespectful to Iris. To be mad at her mother, now, for something that she did in Nora's future (which probably won't stand anymore since Nora changed the timeline), does NOT make any sense. That's like me being mad at my mom for something she did now, go back to 1981, & tell her that she did something I didn't like in 2018. Doesn't make any sense. And how old again is Nora supposed to be? She acts like a 12 year old. Don't. Like. Spin. If I see her again, it'll be too soon. I still feel like Sherloque is hiding something. His accent is just too fake. Glad to see Ralph using his brains. He's much less insufferable than he was last season. Glad to see Joe standing again. Sad to know that Jesse L. Martin injured his back during hiatus, & is going on medical leave soon. Missed Cisco, as well. Once again, the saving grace was WA. The breakfast scene was adorable, as was the softball game. And Barry standing up for Iris...that was beautiful. It truly showed that they are a team. |

I am sure Iris would have had a good reason to do that to Nora in the future. Knowing this show. She's pro powers although she sees the damage they can to Barry; and I can't see go negative even if it's the future...Although it could also be if her husband is missing. She didn't want her daughter to be hurt, or taken out as well. She might have wanted to wait until Nora was old enough to handle it.
But Nora has to come realize that current Iris is not to blame for anything her mother may due in the future. Maybe try to have a good positive relationship now, so the future is one too... Assuming they don't change everything by the end LOL. I like the secret daughter subplot. Because it opens up new dimension to Iris and Barry. Without having to do the baby storyline given they are doing with with little Jenna. And they can wait awhile before they go there... It opens up interesting lessons for both of them! I suspected something up from Episode 2 with Joe. Too many little scenes when Joe's usually with Barry at a case. Even if he was on paternity leave. And always sitting. I thought it might have been a bad leg or something. Too bad, a bad back is bad news... Hope he can rest it and come back soon... I miss seeing Joe bond with his new granddaughter LOL. __________________

Holy West-Allen family drama! I was expecting the Iris/Nora situation to be dealt with and done in one episode, I'm glad I was wrong. And now Nora's mad at Barry too. I am officially a little annoyed. Nora, wtf? That was future Iris, lashing out at present Iris doesn't make much sense. I guess her heart is in the right place, but still, lol wut? I hope she comes to her senses. And poor Iris,I'm with her. Future Iris had her reasons, her husband will disappear and it's only natural she wants to keep her daughter safe. Maybe she went overboard, but what she did was something any parent would do to keep their child safe. I totally get it. I understand Nora's side too, but honestly 2018 Iris has nothing to do with that. Wow, is this the first episode without Cisco? I wonder if it was a creative decision or if Carlos asked for some time off. We're also seeing less Joe due to Jesse's back injury. Ugh, I hate Spencer. Go away, Nora deserves better. I do like the idea of meta tech. Sherloque continues to be boring, but at least he helped Ralph shine as a detective. I wanted to see more of Caitlin's storyline. What's with the slow pace? Barry and Iris . No words can describe how much I love these two. So that's all there is about Cicada? Satellite debris? I'm underwhelmed. __________________
