I don't think a friendship between them is possible. It's been 4 years and the writers have given us one throw away episode that never went anywhere.
 When I heard those foilers about Iris/Sue I was actually interested because that meant Iris actually having a female friend. It will be 5 years soon and no female friendship has lasted longer than an episode. Tragic. __________________

It wasn't important to them.
 You hadn't seen them? They were interesting. They said that Iris meets Vlogger named Sue (Ralph's comic book love interest) and they would be in each other's orbits. I thought Iris having a friend in her field would be fun. __________________

The source wasn't necessarily reliable and everyone said they sounded too good to be true (the shade
