Well, not that... Just the way how women were treated back then. Today is much better, although there are still so many places where women are treated like human garbage.

^^ I know what you mean, I would be interesting though to live in that environment for like a month to really see the differences. Then women might not complain so much about their lives in the present you know.

Still every era had it's benefits and disadvantages. You can understand more why Mary did what she did with her 'magic' because women had no say, that it the main and only reason her husband was kept alive but under her control...
