C is doing menial work cleaning up the crime scene at the Mariner's Inn in the aftermath of Ethan's wolf out session. Obviously, he is not Victor's houseguest as he is living in underground tunnels beneath London amongst the poor, the sick and the disenfranchised. It breaks my heart to bits to see C have a playbill of The Grand Guignol's production of The Transformed Beast on the wall by his bed as a reminder of the only happiness he's ever known. V meets him there while working with charitable nurses tending to the sick, bringing him soup.

That's an interesting information. You read it somewhere? I'm actually surprised Caliban is not welcomed at Victor's. Aren't they supposed to be in a relatively decent relationship at least in the beginning...

Just my interpretation, based on the still and early in filming when Chris King posted a still of the underground tunnel and posed the question "Who is living here?" The answer to that query is now obviously Caliban.

Oh got it, well it's sad I hope it's temporary and him and Victor eventually reconcile.

It occurs to me it might be voluntary on Caliban's part because he might be a carrier of whatever germ/virus is plaguing London and he and Victor will not want Brona exposed to it while undergoing the no doubt delicate process of resurrection.

I like your theory...but since he is immortal he can't technically get sick. Or can he?

You can be a carrier without actually being sick yourself. Like a child who has already had measles or mumps (deadly diseases in those days) can build immunity, but still spread the disease to others.

Oops, I missed the word "carrier". Well that does make sense!
I'd like to believe that Caliban moved out not only because he was scared for Brona's well being but also Victor's

You know something else kinda popped into my head. The Mariner's Inn "crime scene" where Caliban is painting might not be the real thing, but part of an exhibit at the Wax Museum and that's where he's working. That's why there's still "blood" spattered about. The scene of him in the promo walking down a corridor past the figure in the wizard's garb, etc., looking around might be him visiting there and the proprietor gives him the job of set decorating. Caliban kinda had experience with that sort of thing at the Grand Guignol.
