But what if she knew about him being a werewolf, too. I mean the mission wasn't for everyone, that's for sure.

They kind of needed a guarantee the guy won't freak out and run, despite being good with firearms.

The fact that she didn't even explain all the supernatural stuff could mean that she knew he wouldn't be shocked by it too much.

I agree that they must know about his past. I'm not sure about the werewolf thing, instead.
It's a cool theory, but I think at first they didn't expect they would need Ethan's services for that long, and finding out his true nature would take way more research and though than just getting info on his criminal record.
But who knows.

If Vanessa suffers another episode of possession next season, they have a super easy way to expose Ethan, because what's inside her can just blurt out his secret as he did with the one-night-stand with Dorian. But I expect them to handle the reveal in a much more interesting way.

Honestly, I have no idea how they'll handle Ethan and Vanessa in relation to both Brona and Dorian next season. It will be interesting to see where they are going with all those connections.
