Where was Damien in all of this, still in bed? He looks like an player to me. Gunnar was there for everything like you said. He really push her to become more than an waitress and he was proud of her success unlike Avery(in season one at least). And now she wants to throw away what they have for some dude like Damien who can't provide her an future? She needs to get an GRIP because she looks so bad. And what kind of storyline will Damien have with Scarlett. I can understand Scarlett wants to be on her own but she doesn't need Damien to do it. I actually unfollowed Clare, she is so annoying. I can't stand her.

I hope Sam gets his wish for Gunnar and he gets to record as a solo artist, or even hang out with the guys and cut a track or two. Write songs, whatever. For years now Clare's agenda has seemed to be anyone but Gunnar. She'll tweet about how Scarlett deserves better and Gunnar should treat her better and whatever. But she's always all over Scarlett with literally anyone else. Avery, Liam, Dr Dull and now Damien. She'll tweet those actors and find any positive tweets about those pairings to respond to. I have no idea what Gunnar and/or Sam did to offend her so much but she seems willing to latch on to any other option. Which, whatever, she can ship whatever she wants except the way Scarlett has been treating Gunnar this season sounds just like how Clare talks about them.

I've felt from the start that Gunnar was way more into Scarlett than she was into him. And at this point the poor guy should probably just let it go because Scarlett doesn't even seem to like him at this point.

I wish he would just let it go. As it stands, he's either suffering or being an ass. talking about putting his foot down. That's just ridiculous.

If this is the guy they're using to compare to Gunnar,...GROSS! they should have hired the most amazing guy in the world if they want Scarlett to choose Gunnar to show that it doesn't matter how great this guy is if she loves Gunnar but oh no no no, he's gross and it's an easy choice which is insulting.

it'll take some retcon but I don't think it's impossible for the writers to fix this. All they really need to do to win me over is have Scarlett apologize for all her actions this season. She needs a good excuse for them too. And I think there needs to be a realization moment that she's made a big mistake and that can't be Damien skipping town or something that just makes it easy for her to go back because she lost the thing that made her stray in the first place. She needs to have a clear choice between the two and pick Gunnar. and she needs to sweat a little too, she hurt him, how can he trust her now?

The steps I need to get back on the wagon (there's no way the writers will ever do the work but here's my conditions)

1. Scarlett needs to apologize for the bull-caca. A real apology! I want an excuse of why and to acknowledge what she's done.

2. I want her to show him she cares about him, small or big gesture, anything.

3. I want her to shake-off Damien.

I wouldn't mind for her to show some emotion but i don't really want her to get ticked off if he doesn't accept her apology right away. he has a right to let her sweat for a bit. How could any guy trust a girlfriend who gave into temptation the first time it came about? IT'S RIDICULOUS!

If they want to end them, then they need to do it now and they need to kill them with fire! no messing around, it needs to end in a blaze.

Isn't it already over though? She told him she didn't have any feelings for him anymore and that she couldn't date anyone seriously and that he could deal with it however he saw fit. I would have taken that as a breakup which is why I was surprised they were meeting for dinner. I'm not sure why either one of them would have made plans like that. It's just too soon to be buddy buddy. I was also surprised when he told her that he would put his foot down - as if that were an option in the first place even if she was still "his" woman. WTH, Gunnar (I did find it true to his character to say something so seriously clueless).

He strongly suspects she's sleeping with Damien even though she hasn't confirmed it. That should be enough for him to cut bait. Or at least give both of them some space - I know circumstances dictate that they be around each other for at least a little bit, but if I were his friend, I'd be advising him to let her go live her life and he should live his as well. If it's meant to be she'll come back. I guess. I certainly wouldn't be holding my breath waiting. And I hope for Gunnar that if she ever does come crawling back he's in a committed relationship with someone else.
