I just don't understand the writers... those are their leads... they got so much positive response from having the two of them interacting in the finale... so the decision is zero interaction in the first two episodes?

Rayna should have been at Juliette's audition (or at least called to check on her about that). If Jeff could be there for Layla, Rayna should have been there with Juliette.

These writers need to be written up on a performance improvement plan. With the next step being termination if they can't learn how to write a coherent, cohesive story that makes sense, i.e. uses the right characters.
And I think an executive decision needs to be made to just terminate Callie and Dee, since they clearly do not know what they are doing. Businesses would not tolerate (for long, anyway) this level of incompetence and lack of strategic direction. I volunteer to do the terminations. I've done so many in my HR career that I am known as the "Angel of Death" and "The Grim Reaper". So I think I can do it swiftly and cleanly. Who should I be calling to offer my services?  |

R/J/D all used to interact most episodes in S1... and ever since for some unfathomable reason they've decided they need a special occasion for any of them to interact
