Unlike ABC, CMT will not just be looking at Neilsen. I'm sure they will factor in how much it is viewed on Hulu, on the CMT website, DVR viewing, etc. Not everyone gets CMT and a lot of people just prefer to watch things online. Plus we were trending on twitter so I'm sure they will take all of that into consideration. Not to mention the loyal Nashies not in the US which translates to tourist dollars in Nashville the city. ABC only cared about one thing.

Abc is owned by dsney which is a giant power and money hungry corporation not caring at all for their fans (unless it's marvel or star wars) especially not for small fan groups. But I think CMT does care for the Nashies.

That´s true that there is other factors also. And also CD,DVD sale and concerts.

Not bad. The combined demo is about on par with what they were getting at the end of last season. And I'm sure there's a group of people who don't get CMT and will be watching on Hulu

On CMT alone, the premiere scored a 0.5, nearly tripling the cabler’s primetime average. In total audience, Nasvhille‘s premiere night accumulated nearly 2 million viewers across three airings, or about half of its ABC swan song. On CMT, the two-hour opener delivered 1.2 million viewers, the network’s most watched original (or, “original” as the case may be) premiere since Redneck Island circa 2012.

well technically it was 0.5 for CMT and the rest with their associates but yeah not bad at all.

They had to know the viewership would deteriorate with a move from a big four network. Retaining more than half the viewership on the 62nd most watched channel in the States is pretty damn good. Including associates, they even beat the ratings for season 4 episode 20.

Live+3 stats are in and it’s very good news for Nashville and CMT. The Season 5 premiere of the hit country music drama delivered CMT its most-watched original telecast in network history. On CMT alone, the premiere drew more than 2 million viewers, notching a .80 rating with adults 18-49 and .93 rating with adults 25-54. With women, the series pulled a 1.03 rating in the 18-49 demo and 1.26 in 25-54. Across both CMT and Nick at Nite, the premiere drew more than 3.1 million viewers, notching a 1.34 rating with adults 18-49 and 1.76 rating with women 18-49.
