I have so much love for these two and their friendship. Those gifs in the OP are some of my favourite scenes these two have had. Chris and Sam were outstanding in that episode. I think Gunnar has been doing such a good job of supporting Will in what is a very difficult situation.

The episode where Layla and Will got married was a great one for them too. From Gunnar being so against it (the glass smashing scene was so intense) to having Will's back when Jeff asked if he was gay and then Gunnar's acceptance that Will truly believed he was doing the right thing by marrying Layla and reluctantly supporting him.

Honestly, G/W has been the highlight of both Gunnar and Will's storyline's this season

Yeah through Gunnar's overwhelming lacking of storyline in general his friendship with Will has been a bright spot. And Will has to lie to so many people in so many parts of his life that it's always refreshing to see his scenes with Gunnar where he can be a truer version of himself.

Exactly. Gunnar has been such a steady force in Will's life, and has always encouraged him to be himself.

I'm sure he'll be there for Will for sure. I always thought the timing of Will's arrival in Gunnar's life was really significant, just after Jason died. I really think Gunnar considers Will like a brother/family

yes exactly

As close as Gunnar has gotten to Avery, it's different with Will. There's almost a brother relationship there.
