#29 My favorite Deacon scene was in the elevator when he says, "Rayna, I'm done talkin'."

Ok I've been falling behind... I keep thinking about what scenes to pick earlier in the day and then forgetting to post in the evening
Cast member song.. I love Chip's I Climb the Walls (hoping it's a single some week)... and not an original but adore Lennon and Maisy's cover of Boom Clap Juliette: Nothing in This World Will Ever Break My Heart Again at the Bluebird... the scene with Jolene near the end of 111... the scene with Deacon in 105 where she tells him she's never had a friend Rayna: When she showed up at Deacon's in 118... also DR scenes from 111 and 219... also love the Rayna/Tandy scene in 219 before the GMA interview.. something with Jeff, maybe 304 after she steals Sadie from Edgehill Scarlett: Singing Black Roses to Beverly... the one time we got a Scarlett/Maddie scene in 303.. the road trip scenes in 301 Deacon: The AA scene from 203... the DR scene in 111... from 112 both the scene with Juliette (there's thinking about doing something and there's just doing it) and the DR elevator kiss __________________

Favorite Gunnar scene: When he wrote Ball and Chain--the whole episode. I loved seeing the writing process at work and how Gunnar created a hit song.

#30 My favorite Gunnar scenes are the ones with Gunnar and Cadence in them. One of my favorites was when he returned home from tour to be greeted by Will. Ignoring Will, Gunnar went right past him and picked Cadence up. A little while later Cadence recognized Juliette's voice on TV and waved her little hand at her mother. Avery got upset and wanted to know who had been telling her about Juliette. Gunnar said that children knew their mother's voice even in utero (He had read this in a book). Avery said no more TV watching and Gunnar agreed that TV watching was bad, because he had read that in a book, too.

Favorite cast member song: He Ain't Gonna Change
Favorite Juliette scene: When she can't find the tv remote and Avery is trying to leave. Favorite Rayna scene: Any scene when she is telling Jeff off. Favorite Scarlett scene: Her and Will singing "You Ain't Dolly." I also love when she tries to help Deacon out after the car accident. Favorite Deacon scene: Him showing up to save Maddie at the end of season 4. Favorite Gunnar scene: Him, Avery, and Will taking care of Cadence. Favorite Will scene: When he gets his chance to speak openly about who he is in season 4. |

Favorite Will scene: When he and Avery talked about losing Kevin and Juliette in Season 4 and then he asked Avery to stay at the house because he needed a friend. <sniff>

Since Will is my favorite character, I have a few. When he shows up at Kevin's door after the Note by Note fundraiser and confesses his feelings. So honest, vulnerable and emotional. Telling Kevin he loves him on the porch. He just seemed so happy and relieved that it was finally out in the open. The scene in S4 after W/K fight about Will being the poster child for gay country. Again just so honest the way Will admitted that he didn't know what to say and that the only thing he knew for sure is that he loved Kevin.
The scene with Will and Avery at the kitchen table is one of my favorites too but it is really more of a favorite Avery scene. JJ was superb. Oops, forgot the scene where he tells Kevin that he learned a lot from him and was sorry for blaming Kevin for all the bad things that happened. Again just so vulnerable and honest. This is the Will that I love and want more of. Last edited by Lily2003; 10-28-2016 at 10:14 AM |

Favorite Will scene is when he sang A Showman's Life for Rayna and Bucky. I love George so yeah, this was a lovely scene for me.
Also all of his scenes in the finale and his scenes with Kevin when they're together. |

#31 My favorite Will scene was when Will, Gunnar, and Scarlett were at the bar in Season 3's finale. (Avery would meet them there shortly.) Will said something to Gunnar like, "You can't get away from me now" and held his face as he kissed Gunnar on his cheek while Gunnar pretended to be aggravated. It was such a sweet scene of two friends showing brotherly affection toward each other.

Favorite Avery scene: When Avery was drunk for the entire episode in the Season 3 opener--the road trip with Scarlett and Gunnar. "Gunnar, you're like my bro. Scarlett, you're like my girl bro." LOL
After that, I like Avery helping Deacon when his hand was hurt and his arms were flapping around; when the baby was being born and he made the bus stop; I'm sure this isn't popular, but I also like him with that woman in the park--it was nice to see him happy for a moment even if it wasn't with Julia |

#32 My favorite Avery scene was at Charlie Wentworth's mansion with Juliette when Avery drooled over Charlie's guitar. Loved the expression on Avery's face and how Avery gently cradled it in his arms after Charlie asked him to tune it. Also loved Juliette asking him is he wanted "to tune it or breast feed it, Baby."

Favorite Scarlett scene? I liked the road trip scenes, but my favorite ones for her are the scenes she shares with Deacon. I particularly loved the one where she basically told him to get his head out of his a$$ when she was driving him to the doctor about his hand.
Favorite Deacon scene? Since he's my favorite, pretty much all of them. Even though it was terribly depressing, the scene with Rayna was he was in jail after beating up Frankie was so unbelievably emotional. I also like his part of the scene at the cabin with Rayna after GMA shoot to talk about Maddie. I was so irritated that Rayna continued to take the "my pain is greater than your pain" path and the heartbreak on his face then was visceral. Favorite Gunnar scene? Hmm. Maybe anything with three men and a baby? Favorite Will scene? Probably same as Gunnar. Favorite Avery scene? When he sang "Let There Be Lonely" at the Bluebird after everything fell apart for him in season 1 and he was having to start over from ground zero. |
