I am still hopeful that she will get a good ending deserving of her character and how important she has been throughout the show.

I know she can have a good ending without romance, but it feels a little unfair to me, considering all the other main characters have gotten romantic happy endings. Even Zelena has a fiance this season. There are rumors of a new love interest for Regina, but I'll believe it when it happens, and if it does happen, I'll always be worried it will only be a matter of time before she'll lose whoever it is. Romance always seems to end in loss for her and I want that to change.

They have a whole half a season to give her a proper ending if this is to be the last season if not they have enough time to set something up for a season 8

I hope we get at least one more season. It feels like her ending would be rushed if they tried to cram it all into a half season.

I wish we would have gotten more backstory on them. It would have been great to see their first meeting and them falling in love.
