I guess Regina is going to have to go along with whatever Drizella wants, at least for a while. I just hope it isn't too long. I really hate when they portray Regina as being weakened just because she's good now.

I would love to see an eventual redemption for Drizella and for Regina to be a big part of it, especially since their stories are so much alike. I'm not sure if that's the route they will go or not though.

I would like to see Regina hold her own during this while Drizella has the upper hand. I don't want a scenario where somebody like Zelena has to swoop in and save the day! Help would be one thing but not saving Regina because she appears too weak to fight her own battles.

I get the impression part of Drizella waking Regina up 'to help her' is because she felt betrayed in the beginning that Regina wouldn't and subconsciously she is getting now what she wanted then by forcing it.

It will be interesting to see in the upcoming episodes how much of the consequence of the curse being specific to Regina's "loved ones" is because Drizella considers Regina the biggest threat or because she now has a personal vendetta against Regina. Maybe both. Like Heather said, she may have woken Regina to force her to do what she wants because Regina refused the first time. I'm guessing she chose the specific moment that she did because Henry and Jacinda were getting closer in this last episode and her own attempts to keep them apart failed, so she needs Regina to do it for her.

To expound on what I meant, I actually think she is fulfilling some subconscious 'need' to get Regina to help because she had attached herself to her rather quickly, not just as her teacher, but as a type of mother figure she never had. Even if it is in a twisted & forceful way, Regina is finally helping her in her mind. Which makes her pretty emotionally damaged by Lady Tremaine to make her that desperate to wake Regina and make sure she is the one doing the helping.

Ah, I see what you mean. So if that's it, that wouldn't really be about revenge, it's more like twisted mommy issues. That makes sense since she did say she wished she had a mother like Regina. Building on that idea, if Henry's life is the price of breaking the curse, she might have specifically chosen him out of jealousy.

And in response to the bolded part, I can picture her jealousy growing with time as she became more resentful & angry towards Regina and what she interpreted as her rejection. The more I think about what she said at the bar, I think she specifically targeted Regina & used Henry to do it. Afterall, Regina shared with her how Henry was basically her life and Drizella could have developed something akin to a sibling rivalry against him. I don't think she really shares that with Jacinda, they just appear to dislike each other, because Victoria can't stand Cinderella anymore than she does Drizella! I think Drizella would share sibling rivalry with Anastasia before Cinderella, if she were alive. So as far as Drizella goes, I do think her motive with the curse became two-fold: making her mother suffer and getting to Regina. But if the Witch helped her, the witch probably had her own agenda in getting the curse done.

There were some pics released that must have been cut from the episode and two caught my attention that I thought really highlighted how quickly Regina and Drizella bonded in EF2. As evil as Ivy seems to be right now in HH, I hope she won't stay that way because I want to see this relationship develop into something positive.

Yes, you can tell by those promo photos that they certainly appeared to bond quickly. I hope the twist will be that Ivy can be saved because like I mentioned in the spoiler thread, it would be such a waste of character development if Ivy were to die before this season ends.

Here's another thing I noticed upon careful examination after a rewatch. When Ivy goes to the Witch in the tower, she tells the Witch 2 things. The first is, by the end of the day, Regina won't be a problem. And two? We'll see if Regina is as powerful as she thinks she is! Almost like she's testing her? The Witch told Ivy that the plant being used was a most dangerous way to bring somebody down. I guess that statement depends on context, but I almost got the sense that Ivy lead the Witch to believe she would be dispatching of Regina, as in getting rid of her? Only she didn't. Which poses a whole other question, how does this Witch have her magic in a LWOM to make that seed grow in the first place? Are her tea concoctions helping her somehow?

Back to Ivy. The Witch told Ivy she needed to be patient, Ivy was tired of fetching things and the Witch also thought giving Roni the photo was a bad idea. I don't think the Witch actually wants Regina awake so is Ivy doing things behind the Witch's back, not telling her everything? Like waking Regina up to get her help to stop the curse from breaking? Ivy seems impatient & wants her mother suffering immediately.
