I'm looking forward to this episode. Should be lots of Regina and Roni. My biggest hope from this is that they set up a new story for her this season and it's not just a rehash of the past.

But we finally have a storyline!

What the hell did Drizella do that makes Regina so terrified of breaking the curse? I don't know if I have ever seen Regina look so broken before. It's got to have something to do with Henry or Lucy or both. Maybe one of them dies if the curse breaks? So Regina will have to pretend to be Roni and likely is going to have to try and keep Henry and Jacinda away from each other.

I loved the flashbacks with Regina and Drizella. I felt sorry for Drizella at first, but she went full on evil really fast. Are they going to start making Lady Tremaine sympathetic? I don't know what purpose she serves other than she is Drizella's motivation for the curse.

I wish we had gotten to see a bit more with Regina and Rumple in the flashbacks. We know now that time passed very quickly in the realm where Belle died and barely any time passed in EF2. I hope Rumple will be with the group now.

They also reinforced in the flashbacks that Regina's entire life really is about Henry. I don't feel like that's healthy for her and I'm saying that as a mom myself, but we'll see how that plays out in future episodes.

I was right about Roni's background of wanting a child and not having one, although that became irrelevant pretty quickly.

Roni made a deal with Weaver/Rumple. I'm sure that will come back to haunt her at some point.

We finally got a Regina and Lucy scene with a hug! That was so sweet. :love: I wish there had been more time for Roni and Lucy to work together, but now that Regina is awake, she won't be able to work with Lucy anymore because of whatever the horrible consequence is of breaking the curse.

Did you all catch a glimpse of the EQ in the promo? I wonder if it's the Wish EQ because she seemed to be talking to Wish Hook in the past? Plus it looks like maybe Regina and Rumple are both about to realize the other is awake next week.

:yay: We got a storyline! Regina became the teacher but the student backfired on her. :( Drizella was both consumed with hurt & revenge. I felt sorry for her at first especially when she learnt her mother was going to trade her in for her sister by taking her heart. But then she hardened so quickly she was oblivious to reason and turned on Regina. It was interesting to learn Drizella was born with magic.

I liked how they brought in the mother|daughter comparison shared between Regina & Drizella and how they were a lot alike growing up. That obviously moved Regina to help.

So Drizella had the curse cast, she was inspired by Regina's Dark Curse, and now the twist is there are consequences to breaking this new curse. Drizella made it 'hero proof.' I love Lana, her facial expression of shock & pain when Regina remembered what the price was says it all about Lana's acting range of emotion. I wish we knew the specifics of what happens to the people she loves if this curse breaks since we apparently know both Henry & Lucy do have protected hearts. I still think the new Witch plays a bigger role in this somehow and I'm curious to how.

Regina is now stuck trying to prevent Henry & Jacinda from sharing TLK. I was hoping the curse would break differently but, oh well. While she can't come out and tell Henry the truth, I do wonder if Regina will still secretly conspire with Lucy since Lucy already believes? To find another way with the Curse? Lucy already has faith that Regina will find a way to break it since she practically said so in the bar.

I was happy to see we got both Rumple|Regina scenes & Roni|Weaver this episode. Rumple already remembers and he now got Roni to owe him a favor. I am curious what that will end up being down the road? Although, my suspicions are since he is awake, he already guessed Roni was lead on that search by somebody's agenda.

I think Regina's feeling unneeded at the moment factored in to her decision to teach Drizella magic right away without really getting to know her first. She did try to kill Henry recently and I would have expected Regina to be a bit more suspicious of her. I guess the combination of Regina's feeling a bit lost already and Drizella's situation so closely mirroring her own as a young woman gave her hope that she could save this woman from going down the same path she did. It actually reminded me a little bit of young Regina and Tinkerbell. The story itself was different, but it paralleled Tink using magic to try and show Regina a better choice and it backfiring on her in a huge way.

I would love to see Regina working with Lucy but I don't know since Lucy wants the curse broken and Regina has to try and prevent that from happening, at least until she can come up with a plan to avoid the consequence.

Lana's acting was fantastic, she broke my heart in that scene where she woke up and remembered everything.

Regina & Lucy working together is still an IF but I was thinking the little girl might play a similar role to young Henry where Regina & Lucy might parallel s1 Emma|Henry a little bit. They were working Operation Cobra, maybe Regina & Lucy would form their own operation? Lol. Only this time, Regina knows the truth, whereas Emma played along for awhile, but now Regina might work with Lucy to find alternate ways around this new curse or to uncover a way to undo Drizella's consequences. Of course, there is Rumple she can try and turn to as well but if death is a consequence, he likely doesn't mind since he wants a reunion with Belle in the afterlife. :lol: So maybe the consequences would push him to want to break the curse but not the way Regina wants. He is going to want that favor.

I noticed whatever Drizella specifically did right before the curse was cast to upset Regina was intentionally omitted and that whatever she did sounded directly targeted against Regina so she wouldn't be an obstacle|threat. Which leads me to question, how long did it take Drizella to find a way to cast this new curse? 10 years to match Lucy's current age? I am going to assume at some point the New Witch took over where Regina left off as a type of mentor|teacher for Drizella. Only she continued to lead her down that darker path but the New Witch would have to have her own agenda in agreeing to do so. I think the new Witch used Drizella's eagerness to destroy her mother so what did the new Witch hope to get out of all this? I noticed the new Witch was weary about waking Regina up.

I was wondering about that too. I guess it could have been 10 years before the curse is actually cast, if that scene from S6 with Lucy and Tiger Lily happens at the time of the curse. Or if that is something else, then it's possible the curse was cast right after Lucy was born and they've been in HH for 10 years. I agree that the witch probably took over Drizella's training where Regina left off. I'm sure she has her reasons for that, much like Rumple and Regina in earlier seasons. I wonder if the witch was weary about waking Regina up because she suspects that Regina won't just accept the curse can't be broken and will start looking for another way. I think the witch is likely playing both Ivy and Victoria.

As to the bolded part, I definitely think that is the scenario here. I just am clueless as to what Victoria's beef is with the new Witch. Unless she was Rapunzel and the new Witch is Mother Gothel? The new promo shows us getting a Rapunzel episode and Regina & Drizella looked like they were doing Drizella's training at that old tower this episode. And we appear to have a FB with our EQ Regina talking about this tower in another distant realm? I know some have speculated she could be a Wish!Realm Regina. Very curious on what the New Witch ultimately wants out of this.

I am curious about the EQ in the promo for the next episode. I'm assuming that is Wish Hook since that is the character they are telling a story with this season, but whether or not that is Wish EQ or the original EQ and Wish Hook is realm traveling remains to be seen. I just realized the realm they are all in now that we refer to as EF2 doesn't actually have a name on the show. I think fandom came up with EF2. They should give it an official name.

I didn't read all the posts as I won't see this till probably Tuesday! But I did see the part where Regina is broken! :bawl: why?! why do the writers hate seeing her happy! :(
