Lana is going to kill us. Regina looks so sad in those pics. I think Henry is leaving SB, but I don't think he's going to college. It think he's just going off to see the world. He's always been very independent. I've seen theories that at some point Henry tries to go back to SB and the town has vanished and that is how he becomes the "cynical recluse" mentioned in the character description, because he lost his entire family and doesn't know what happened to them.

They filmed a scene earlier this week with Lana and Jared where a little bit older looking Henry (maybe 18?) is on a motorcycle with his bag and Regina is looking very sad, so speculation is that it is them saying goodbye because Henry is leaving SB.

Been really busy but has anybody else kept up on the spoilers coming from a recent D23 Expo panel? There's some talk & confusion over whether all the characters, except Henry, are AU versions - including Regina, Hook, & Rumple? I mean, is Adult Henry going to be the only original character coming back? If so, that's going to put a huge damper on the new story for me because that would mean this new cursed AU Regina is a complete stranger to Henry, NOT the mom who raised him. And I was getting my hopes up for their reunion. I would just be so clueless on what would be done with Regina.

News on who Lucy's mom will be came out: she's a new version of Cinderella. I expected Lucy's mom to be a whole new character we hadn't seen, are they literally just going to respin characters they already did in different book versions? Yikes.

Also, a lot of questions asked seemed to be focused on Hook. What it meant for CS, if they had a baby, if Adult Henry & Hook could do something together because he's his step dad (maybe?), and the first couple episodes sound like they will revolve alot around Hook. The second of the new season is his centric. Disappointed not to see anything specific get asked about Regina, not even for Rumple.

Maybe Colin is the new lead then (ie. Gets 1st cast billing).

Maybe they really are starting everything over? This would be a hard reboot, then, not a soft one like they claimed. But then Lucy's words to Henry in the s6 finale make no sense because didn't she tell Adult Henry his family needed him? An AU Hook, Regina, and Rumple would not be his family. Not his version. So confusing.

I saw the news. I don't really know what to think. I don't like the idea of new versions of old characters. I don't know why they didn't just chose someone new for Henry's wife. And there is going be another version of the enchanted forest where Henry might possibly meet other versions of characters we've already seen? It feels like they've run out of ideas.

The thing I'm really confused about is whether or not our returning actors are still playing the same characters, just cursed versions, or if they are AU versions from this other Enchanted Forest. So if Lana is still the Evil Queen, is she a version of her that never went to SB and is not even Henry's mom? I think she has to be at least be an AU version of the Evil Queen because we had that promo summary a while back that said the Evil Queen, Hook, and Rumplestiltskin team up with Henry and blah, blah, something about realm traveling. So that to me indicates they are at least still playing the fairytale version of those characters. But whether or not they are the same versions we've been watching for 6 seasons seems like it remains to be seen. But why would they team up with Henry if they are not even his real family? He wouldn't be anyone to them. But Cinderella is being played by a completely different actress so you would think all AU versions would be played by different actors, so....???

Lucy's statement about Henry's family needing him could just be in reference to herself and her mother. Or it could mean the larger family. I've been assuming she meant the entire family, but maybe not.

Henry is not a strong enough character to carry the show on his own. If it were a spin-off and people were looking it as such, that might work, but they are promoting it as a new chapter of the same show so people expect what happened in the last 6 seasons to still be relevant in some way. I think the show will struggle enough even with keeping Regina, Hook, and Rumple, but if they're trying to continue without any returning characters other than Henry, I think people are going to lose interest very quickly.

Hopefully we won't have to wait until the season premiere for some clarification. Maybe we'll get some clarification from SDCC.

Sherry, yeah, they made it sound like Henry's wife is from this new Enchanted Forest and this is where the events from the s6 finale were taking place. When Adult Henry & Lucy were on the run from whatever was after them? Definitely rule out Henry running into Dark OQ there, it's not even the same Enchanted Forest, lol. It sounds like another AU version.

Yes, IF Regina, Hook, & Rumple are all AU versions, it sounds like they would still be their fairytale characters only from this new Enchanted Forest but with a different story. No Storybrooke happened to them. People are speculating this would be how the writers keep s1 - s6 intact without disrupting the happy endings|beginnings. But that kind of doesn't add up to A&E claiming they are not moving foward dismissing the first 6 seasons. If everybody BUT grown Henry is a new version of a character, it is dismissing the first 6 seasons. You are starting all over and this should technically be a spin off, not a s7 continuation. Plus, they claim SB will not be forgotten - it could pop up here or there. Why would that even be relevant for all new characters not connected to SB story?

For some of these reasons, I am still leaning towards Regina, Hook, & Rumple being our versions. I saw in one of the photographs on a spoiler site - it had a stone statue which resembled a troll holding or crushing a car figure that appeared to resemble Emma's bug (car). It looked to be at an underpass near Hyperion Heights. So, in a way, I guess Emma is acknowledged in this new place & not sure how much it would matter to do that if all these new characters never had Emma, the Savior, in their reality. So I am going to assume for now, Regina, Hook, Rumple & adult Henry remain the Hyperion Heughts characters connected to that. Also, there would be a lot of filler required to explain why Regina might no longer be the EQ anymore or why she still is and was so easy to curse back in this new EF if she wasn't already our Regina.

I never thought about it in those terms but, yeah, you could be right. Ugh. Although, there still lies some hope in the fact that Lucy was referring to the others as well because she had the book with the picture of them inside Granny's. So I hope that is still relevant.

I just really want it to be our Regina because considering the fact we are getting a flashback scene with Jared Gilmore's Henry saying goodbye to Regina, I really want a reunion that comes full circle to that. Stranger AU Regina|Adult Henry just won't be the same and right now, the Regina| Henry relationship is the most I have to look forward to and maybe some Regina & Lucy. Don't know how I will feel about Henry's new romantic relationship until I see it.

Some people are speculating Hook might be a single dad in this new place, new cursed identity because the question was asked if CS had a child and apparently that will be addressed right away. Meanwhile, nothing revealing about Regina and she can never even get a love interest that sticks *sighs* Apparently, in filming, they saw Colin dressed in uniform so he could be a cop|dupty with the name or last name Rogers? Hm.
