I am curious as to what the setup for season 7 is going to be, but I'm also really sad that many of the stories we've been following for the last 6 seasons are coming to an end. It's going to feel very different after tonight.

that is true. tonight chances everything. i hope that they at least give those characters that are leaving the show a proper happy ending (although i am still pissed about henry because with regina still in the show that makes no sense at all)

Unless next season is an AU, I don't see how they can continue stories for the characters that are returning without also affecting the stories of the characters who are not returning, but we will see what happens tonight.

I've just watched the episode and wish it would have been the series finale, everyone happy together... I would like to see more of RB though...

We did not get many answers about what the next season is going to look like and why the hell Emma, Belle etc won't be there exept that we at least know now that Andrew is Henry...

i just watched. this could have been the perfect series finale. the last 20 seconds where so wasted.. like the 19 years later scene on harry potter.

and gosh adam west looks young. he looks llike 20 and has a 10 year old daughter?

when i read "sean maguire" in the intro i was so happy and then we just heard his voice? or did I blink and missed him? but yeah the proposal actually happened in those 3 seconds. dont know if that is supposed to make the shippers happy or sad lol. i dont know how i feel yet

the final batter was meh. the BF too fast defeated and i wish we would have gotten a bit more actual battle but oh well

I also dont understand why the other characters had to leave the show, especially since hte clock tower started up again. I mean if the clock tower had stopped working.. then i would have said that somehow they are stuck in time again bla bla.. but now how many years ever later the so called daughter comes into town to make a grown up henry believe again?

are we dealing with old people in the next season? lol

at least we somehow still have RB scenes then but it wont be the same. we saw jared grow up and he and lana had a special bond. she will not share that with the new guy.

all in all I wish this would have been the series finale and they would have let the show go.

I agree that the final battle was rather rushed and BF really did not seem like the biggest villain of all the big villains like they were trying to portray it... There were much scarier villains before...

The episode definitely wasn't perfect but I it was actually alot of better than I expectet and would be satisfying series finale with all the characters still happy together...

While I am still not fan of the decision to separate the evil queen from Regina forever, I really did enjoyed their scenes in this episode... I was happy they actually let Regina did something in this episode and not let Zelena did all the work...
And the "evil" queen had some hilarious lines...

The scene with dwarfs was so touching...

And I loved to see the whole family at the table together, that is how I always imagined the series to end.. now I doubt the real ending of the show will be like this..

There was too little Regina and Henry interaction for my taste, especially considering it was possible the last episode of Regina with Jared's Henry...

i agree that the dwarfes scene was absolutely touching. that scene was really beautiful

and yes.. the scene with all of them at the table.. heroes.. villains and everything in between... we wont have that for the real series finale and that bumms me out

Overall I enjoyed the finale. I think it would have worked well as a series finale if that's what it had turned out to be, but I am curious about what they are doing for next season and how Regina fits into it.

I really, really loved the enchanted forest scenes. They reminded me of why I fell in love with this show. I love the fairytale other world aspect of the show.

I'm really glad we got to see Regina and the Queen meet up again. The queen's comment about their outfits and Zelena rolling her eyes was hilarious. Did anyone catch Regina's pained expression when the queen said the she and Robin were now stealing from the rich to give to the poor? They've turned him into Robin Hood, but Regina still doesn't get to be with him. And does the queen realize that she's probably one of the richest people in the kingdom?

I loved the scene where Regina called the queen "Regina", the acknowledgement that they are both Henry's mom, the queen on the balcony trying to hold off the darkness to buy Regina some time. This was definitely one of my favorite scenes of the episode.

In the scene where they were standing in the center of the castle and everything was collapsing around them, there was a moment of Regina and Zelena looking each other like they were both about to cry, and then Snow grabbed Regina's arm. More great moments.

As for the Storybrooke side, I get that the stuff with Emma, the asylum, and the Black Fairy was necessary for the plot, but it really didn't interest me. It bothered me that Henry seemed pretty unconcerned about anyone other than Emma for the first hour. Only when she left town, did he show some concern about the fate of his other mom. There was not nearly enough Regina and Henry in this for me.

I suspected Rumple was awake the entire time. He is usually one step ahead of everyone else. I really liked the way things ended for Rumbelle. The scene of them dancing at the end to the Beauty and the Beast music gave me chills. They finally got to be part of the family dinner. Regina was looking at Rumple like she was so proud of him for finally doing the right thing.

I liked the happy ending montage. The scene with Regina and the dwarves was especially touching. I feel like she is fully accepted and embraced by the people of the town at this point.

The dark OQ proposal happened and I don't know how to feel about it. I like it in an AU sort of way, but it still feels very unfair to Regina to me. Also the real Robin Hood seems to have been completely forgotten by the show. No happy ending in heaven for him I guess.

I loved Snowing and their farm. It feels very right for them.

Because I follow filming spoilers, I know there was supposed to be a scene of Zelena walking down the street with baby Robyn that was cut from the happy ending montage. I was sad about that, since this was the end of Zelena's story.

One thing that really irritated me was the overuse of the TLK. I thought TLK was for curse breaking. Now if can be used to bring people back from actual physical death, like stab wounds and head trauma caused by having a bean stalk land on you? If that's true, no one on this show should ever die. Robin should not be dead. Daniel should not be dead. If you die for any reason, no worries because someone you love can just kiss you and bring you back to life. Unless the dead person happens to be in love with Regina and then they are most definitely dead.

Looking forward to Henry and Lucy's story, do you all think the enchanted forest scenes came first and the Seattle stuff later? That's what I'm assuming. So Once Upon a Time...in Seattle?

Okay my analysis for the finale:

First off, I guess no REAL deaths, lol. Just a couple fake outs.

While Emma not believing and Henry trying to get her to believe again was a nice throwback to s1, I still found this part of the plot to be dragging and there was too much of it for my liking. Especially when we are like 53 minutes in and there was still no sign of Belle except poorly photoshopped photos

Let me begin with what I liked:

I am actually intrigued on where they have the potential to take Henry & Lucy. I am just hoping that the narrative will be unique in it's own right - I dread for the writing to make this exactly Emma|Henry 2.0. I am very curious about the upheaval in the EF and who|what is after them.

I liked the EF scenes that included the Charmings & Regina. Zelena was okay in this too.

I liked Regina & Henry's reunion scene and I really loved the emotion shared between them in the montage when she hugged and kissed him at the end.

I think my favorite scene for Regina was the ending with the Mayor's office door where the dwarves honored her and recognized her as their Queen. At first, Regina didn't even want to be Queen in the EF, then she challenged Snow in all the wrong ways to force the loyalty from the people so in the end it was nice to see that her redemption and her own form of leadership gained her the acceptance she had sought but now it was for the right reasons. Snow may have been the King's heir to lead but at the end of the day, I think Snow prefers her simple life with her TL and kids; she loves teaching. Regina does possess a natural ability to take charge and lead.

The diner scene in Granny's at the end was very moving.

Did anybody notice how the EF threat resembled the Never-ending story plot where The Nothing was destroying the realm because of lack of belief? I couldn't help but to notice since I watched that movie a lot as a kid, lol.

Rumbelle got their HEA back with baby Gideon.

The double of Regina sacrificing herself was also moving; I did think she was a goner, lol.

******

Okay my quirks with the finale:

Overall, I found this plot rushed. The BF background needed more time to be developed and she was just defeated way too easily. She was supposed to be the Ultimate Villain of villains.

The part of the Final Battle at the end with Gideon didn't feel like that big of a deal. And I know the BF had his heart to control him but for the life of me I can't figure out how he was light magic like Emma. Wasn't his magic dark? So how was it light trying to snuff out light? And how did Emma sacrificing herself automatically turn Gideon back into a baby?

Okay convenient plot device rant ahead: So True Love's kiss can now resurrect somebody? Oh please. I just couldn't swallow over that one seriously with Henry bringing Emma back to life that way. Also, not as 'jump the shark' as the first TL kiss mentioned, but didn't Charming's kiss on Snow work to break a sleeping curse? Why is there a kiss bringing him back into consciousness from a dangerous fall? Was that supposed to be a resurrection type deal too? Confused. Apparently all the rules go out the window for certain established characters.

Lastly, I was annoyed by Henry's lack of concern for Regina the first hour. He mentioned everbody but her and then when Emma finally mentioned his other mom not letting him come visit her, then he mentioned Regina like an after thought. Urgh.

I guess I found the finale 'okay' overall. The montage was certainly the best part & fitting for a series finale but the entire 2 hour story itself would not have left me satisfied as a Regina fan. A little too Emma-centric for my tastes; I would have preferred a finale plot that was more ensemble involved, not one where everybody waited around on Emma's belief to break through.

And I still have such mixed feelings about Dark OQ because it just reminds me of what should have been our real OQ.
