I didn't even know AIM was still around, I remember going on it when I was like eight or nine. Oh the memories.

Ahh so yesterday we learned that an old coworker has passed away. He was actually beat up by two guys and instead of going to a hospital, he went home and was found almost two days later. They believe he had internal bleeding and are currently looking for the two guys. I hope and pray that they're caught soon, his youngest baby isn't even one yet

So, yesterday was my first day. Man, working a full day again is going to take some getting used to.

I did cashier training for the first hour and then stood and watched someone do a few transactions. I then jumped on the register and that's how I spent my day. The registers at JoAnn's are so easy to operate. I especially loved having a scanner! When I worked at Hobby Lobby they didn't have scanners, so you had to type each item in. This place is also totally awesome in giving breaks! That right there helps. Plus, they were practically shooing me out the door when it was time to leave for the day. I work part-time, so my days consist of 5-hour shifts except for Saturday which is a full 8 hour day. I believe I'll start training for the education department tomorrow. Everyone is very nice and were very helpful when I asked questions. The customers were all pretty nice as well. I also got the 2 days off this week, I really wanted so I can still get all my errands for the week done.

Sandy, I loved working for Hobby Lobby. They're closed on Sundays, major holidays and closed early on like Christmas Eve and NYE. Their hours are 9-8 except during the holidays when they are 9-9. You out in 30 minutes during the week and an hour on Saturdays. I worked part-time for them, so not sure about benefit and such. Their pay is very good. 10.75 for part-time and 15 something for full-time.
