It could have been a great series ending

I look forward to seeing if Marlowe will just do tiny story archs next season or if he will use this season finale to start a new big arch for next season. Alongside them getting married of course

I wouldn't mind a 3XK arch now. They need a big bad who's not afraid to actually kill one of them. (Not that I want one of them dead, but almost... uh, yeah. I love me some drama. )

And who's to say Bracken won't actually get out of jail because of a tachnicality? I'm no major in law but the guy is powerful, so who knows? I hope that's not the case though. At least not right now.

Yes. I hope they let the Bracken thing rest now. The episode was so fulfilling, it's be uncool to warm it up again.

I think 3xK is their main concern now. I think Marlowe set it up this way, too, to have a villain next season (should there be one).

I...was a little underwhelmed in general, though I can't exactly explain why Then again, I guess it can be like that when you've waited for something for so long.

Anyway, I loved the Beckett/Montgomery scene

I wish the hug had lasted a bit longer. Really, a few seconds. It felt like a rushed ending, I was like "what, it's over??"

The episode would have been great for a two parter...there was too much happening to fit in 45 minutes.

I really enjoyed the episode a lot. i love beckett based ones. this one was so good. i was so happy that beckett finally got justice for her mother's murder.

Beckett centered episodes are my faves. And the ones about her mother even more so.

Right? I felt like that too. I was just waiting that the fade out was a commercial break but then there was the Castle theme playing. LOL

Yes! I was just talking about it. When I watched the episode the first time so many things happened that it felt like it lasted 2 hours.

I always get giddy when one of the captains go "You're off this case." because that means 1, the episode will be awesome and 2, they say "You're off" but I'm pretty sure she hears "Do your best now.".

ETA: Oh, I forgot to mention that Rob Hanning said that there was a cut scene with Beckett takiong off her mother's ring or something like that in the end. What did you guys think about it? While I'm happy that this chapter's closed in her life, her putting taking off the ring and putting it away would have been too sad. Idk.

I understood Rob's comment like Kate puts the ring away for good. She keeps it but doesn't (have to) wear it anymore.

I hope we get to see the scene; but the episode worked without it. I never felt so much relief and 'You so deserve it' toward a character before.
