I totally made the connection (in my head) that the reason Beckett turned down the job was that of her mom dying. I mean the timeline fits.

Yeah
Subtle by the writers, it’s probably not a coincidence that Beckett’s mom died in January 99 and the shoot was scheduled for then too. Maybe it’s part of the reason Johanna was on her mind so much this epsiode... that’s just occurred to me as I typed it  __________________
