I like to think that Meredith was genuine at the end, even though she planted doubts in Kate's mind it didn't seem manipulative.

I agree she didn't do it in a manipulative way. It still rubbed me the wrong way though.

I always did sort of like Meredith this episode. Yes what she did was wrong, making herself at home at the loft but Rick had that planted in her head from day one and she was wrong to put the idea in Kate's head however it did bring up some good points. I also did like her and Kate having dinner together and trying to get along as well

Agreed on both

Meredith is selfish. But I also think she makes an effort to get a long with Kate, knowing she's the real deal for Rick.

well said. I think when Meredith realized how serious it was between Kate and Rick, she changed her agenda.

Agreed, and with Rick and Meredith being Alexis parents she knew Kate would be there (though I've always felt Kate was way more of a mom to Alexis and Meredith more of an Aunt..) and made the effort. I'm sure their future encounters were completely different after this.

I don't think they'd get along, something tells me it'd be Meredith who didn't like Gina too.

Two weeks later and I finally got around to watching this

It is strange watching Beckett and Meredith interact after seeing The Rendezvous

I completely understand why Beckett is frustrated with Castle, I love her comment about men being clueless.

The scene with the husband and ex-wife destroying each other's stuff is so funny

I also love when Ryan and Espo tell Castle what will happen if Beckett and Meredith have dinner together lol. That scene always makes me laugh.

Beckett getting her revenge is hilarious

Castle so deserved that.

I feel bad for Beckett when Meredith tells her why it didn't work out between her and Castle.
