Phil (my friends bf) says that to him it seems that maybe Nick got married again so soon (well it seemed soon) because he was used to being a husband and wanted that stability of that family unit. I thought that was a good point

That is a good point, I wouldn't have thought of that. That could be it. He was used to being a husband and Flynn having that mother figure. But still between finding someone, dating and than marriage a year seems like such short time to me anyways.

a year isn't long at all..to find someone, fall in love, and ask them to marry you and the wedding...unless he just meet Alice after a year, or he could've known her from the beginning. I would like a season 2 to give us a more clearer picture of that

Maybe even Emily knew (but didn’t tell Nick that she knew) especially if their marriage was under strain. It would have increased Nick’s guilt when Emily came back. It’s honestly not something I’d thought of until this tweet:

Oh that does have me wondering now. I do think Nick knew Alice beforehand. We definitely need a season 2 to get these questions answered. Especially with how Warren feels about Nick.

Isn't it amazing how they seem to have forgiven each other? Him for Emily using him to escape, and her for him accusing her. Although he did much worse things, if you ask me

I think anyone in Emily's situation would have done the same. Nick was just too blind to see that, I think. Maybe he did miss her that much or maybe he wanted to give her benefit of the doubt. And Warren's dislike of Nick makes me curious if he disliked him before they were even married or after everything with her disappearance. A season 2 is so much needed now for sure.

The more I think about it, the more I think Nick was actually having an affair before Emily was taken and maybe Emily knew but Nick didn’t know she knew. Remember when Emily said “you weren’t the one who was taken, you were the one who was ****ing someone else” which is kind of phrased as if she meant six years ago... I don’t know maybe I’m thinking too much of it.

No,I don't think your over thinking it at all. It makes more and more sense. How do you give up on the love on your life after a year? And instead of divorcing Emily, it all worked out in his favor. But then her comment on if it never happened they'd still be married so who knows unless they did like marriage counseling to try and save their marriage.
