Most probably. As long as she doesn't interfere with normal procedures, it's all good. Though the whole thing is still questionable to me. Was it really that easy (if you're FBI) to bring in a family member like that to a special ops site?

yeah I thought it was strange that she was allowed to watch it as well. I also did not understand why he went to the black op site instead of the regular FBI headquarters.
But I just dismissed it |

Same. Kind of like in the Alchemist ep where Madryczk was questioned by Ressler in another FBI office and not their special ops site.

This convo is interesting, so many things I hadn't thought about; and I agree Liz can't just shrug tom out of her life.
I hope S2 opens to a Liz whom is apparently over it, then by the end of the episode we discover she has a secret room full of articles, map,... where she tries to track him. Still believing he will find her first though. __________________

Maybe because they gave the Alchemist access to a lawyer? I can't remember - has a lawyer ever been to the black site?

I can't remember either but anyone who will be on the special ops site should get the go signal from Cooper, I reckon. So I guess Cooper did allow Tom to be taken in.

Yeah I think he would have had to agree to it, especially since Liz called to get clearance to bring him in. If it wasn't Cooper that agreed to it then it must have been Diane.

I probably shouldn't fret over it but since knowing what Tom was eventually, it's a risk that the FBI has to take. And now Tom was literally inside a special ops and saw some evidence there. That's a good move for him.

That was probably his plan when he told Liz to bring him in. Liz played right into his hands and made the call. Plus it gave him an opportunity to assess some of Liz's colleges and other workers at the ops site.

Even after rewatching The Cyprus Agency, I still can't quite figure about Tom's motive with this adoption plot. I feel like after a certain point he put the exit plan on the back burner.

I wonder if Tom thought adopting a child would make Liz rethink her job and want to leave the FBI and move to Nebraska with him. Maybe it was his last ditch effort to get Liz away from Red and her job.

I think it was probably his last ditch effort too and then there's the Jolene problem he has to deal with. I too can't figure out why he was hell bent on adopting. It would make sense if it was Liz much more into it and not him.
