I think they had to let him go because they couldn't prove he did anything. I think the blame shifted to Liz instead when she tested positive for the virus.

I am a little bit confused on Karakurt ever since I wrote him into the list thread this morning.
Karakurt was the old guy we saw in the beginning at that campus right? Not Jonas Flemming, the journalist. He was only a deversion right? __________________

Yeah I think Kris is right. Antropov was the one infecting people with the virus while Karakurt stayed clean.
Also they couldn't prove he was Karakurt. His press credentials and fake ids held up so they had to let him go. |

I have good hopes that we will see Karakurt in S3 again. If Liz's name will get cleared they will go after him and hopefully they will find him.

I think they will need to find Antropov in order to clean her name. Because he was the only carrying the virus that infected her.
