Paula, I guess your weather is a lot similar to ours although I believe it's a bit warmer at yours. The weather here is really perfect for garden work (at least the kind of work we have to do lately) though

Today, we had a big meeting with a lot of craftsmen at the house to talk about how they are going to continue with the interior fittings. It's so cool they'll soon start therewith already

I drastically quit all sugars on Monday morning. I'm having a rough time. My body is literally having withdrawal symptoms

You guys, I have the greatest news! I got a new job! A fulltime job!! I am so happy. I couldn't work fulltime at the store I am working at now so I applied for a new job last week and I got it! I am going to work for a catering service that also has a store where they sell food and I will be mainly working in the store but I will also help the cooks in the kitchen with some easy things.

Paula, why did you quit all sugars on Monday so drastically? And I guess your family will be affected by it as well since you might start to grocery shop and cook and bake differently?

Miranda, I already told you how happy I am for you!!!! You so deserve that and I'm so happy that you are so happy and excited about it I'm sure it's going to be a gas!

Paula giving up sugar is hard. I had gestational diabetes with my pregnancies and had to change my diet significantly. I had no idea of the foods that were bad or even that you needed to limit the fruit you eat.

Oh yes, it's really crazy how much food contains sugar... Even those that you'd normally never expect to.

So, we received bad news yesterday... Sascha's grandma was diagnosed with bowel cancer a few weeks ago like I told you guys. He had surgery last Friday and they found out that the cancer has spread into his liver already. Which is not good... We don't know if it has spread anywhere else, too or how bad it is yet. But it at least doesn't look good.

It is crazy. I feel like the only thing that doesn't contain sugar these days is water.

I already knew about Sascha's grandpa but I am still so sorry Kris. It's not good that it spread to his liver. Hopefully there is something that can be done.

Miranda, so true about the water... It's really unbelievable. I know my bread as well doesn't contain sugar... Or eggs. But that's about it. Even sausage contains sugar. The world is just crazy.

Thanks, Miranda Tomorrow he'll have a really long talk with one of the doctors because he'll be released on Tuesday. I hope that doctor will tell him more this time. I fear though Sascha's grandpa doesn't want to know.

We're going to head out for lunch to an Indian restaurant today with my mom and her partner I so can't wait because I LOVE Indian food!
