I will explain what I know

a group of people get together and design their own NFL team with existing NFL players. then when their players play NFL games they get points based on how their players did that week. At the end of the season, the person with the most points win.

It may be a group of the cast and crew. There is usually money involved too. Everyone pays a certain amount to play and whoever wins at the end of season wins the pot of money. I forget to mention that part

My husband won at work one year so winning the pot was kind of nice. I think they only pay like $20 a person to play, but some fantasy football leagues have a much higher buy in.
