Maybe she thought she was going to die and she wanted to apologize before it was too late?

So it came as surprising to you as it came to me, right? Glad to hear that, too. It's been such a beautiful moment. Her thinking at first that he was talking about her daughter when in truth he was talking about her. The way he talked about her, with such a respect, such an awe. I loved that.

Miranda, that gif-set you brought over here. The both of them, right before their death... The last though always is the other one. I'm dead, I'm sooo dead!

Donna, this ship is killing me as well And yes, when we saw him sitting there, next to her dead body, with her hand in his hand and on his cheek, it broke my heart. I really thought that all he wanted was to be dead as well.

Yes I was very surprised about it and it means so much more to me now that she is gone. I really believe that she truly meant it.

That whole moment between them was so sweet and heartbreaking. She almost said she loves him!

Ugh, his face when she almost said "you" ... as though he had already known it, but he was so moved and surprised that she would be saying it to him. You can tell he wanted to say it back to her.

I liked how the intimacy of the moment was obvious to everyone who saw it. Ressler moved everybody else away from the ambulance. Nobody entered the ambulance while Red was in there with Lizzie. It's clear it was a man who had lost his soulmate and he had lost the will to breathe. The way Ressler wrapped his FBI jacket around Reddington as he escorted Red to his car, watched Dembe catch Red as he collapsed in pure grief...showed that he understood the weight of Red's loss.

I as well believe that she meant it I'm sure that Liz isn't a person that would just say something like that because she is about to die. She meant it, she always said what she meant and I don't believe that on her death bed this would change.

But he didn't have the time. She was gone already, out. I wish he would have been able to tell her although I'm sure that she knows. She knows that he loves her, that he has always loved her. I'm sure of that.

Yes, I thought this all so perfect. It showed a great deal about Ressler and Red and their dynamic. I loved that this was included.

And while talking about all of these great moments, we are nearing the end of this thread and I'd like to have this one as a title for the next one:

Yes, it's still so shocking how horrible it was for Red to lose Liz. My heart is still broken.

I never expected we'd see that, Red collapsing. I know that it happened because he was wounded or something but not out of such a reason.

Do you think we'll see him cry in the upcoming episodes? We never did see him cry...

I have no idea if we'll see him cry..... though I don't think we will next episode cause in the promo I saw, Red had a hatchet in one scene. My guess is he's going to take the fight to some of the members that took Liz from him and he's going to put them in a world of hurt.

I think we'll eventually see him break down. The way he collapsed out of grief shows that it's only a matter of time.
