Mr. "Kate" Kaplan is a very mysterious woman.
She has worked for Raymond Reddington for many years.
She is Reddington's personal "cleaner" who comes in to scrub crime scenes.
She helps Reddington clean up after he kills Diane Fowler.
She also disposed the bodies of Lucy Brooks and the Cowboy after they are found by Reddington's people.

Susan Blommaert was born October 13, 1947 in the US.
She started acting in 1987.
She has appeared in several films including Edward Scissorhands, Doubt and United 93.
She also appeared in many TV shows and she has also been on Broadway.

Because she knows what to do should Red be killed.
Because her first priority is protecting Red.
Because cleaning isn't her only talent.
Because she doesn't only get rid of people - she can find them as well.
Because she knows how to be cool in stressful situations.
Because she has a special bond with Red.
Because her history with Red goes way back.
Because she tells Red what he needs to hear.
Because she insisted on staying with Red after he told her to leave him.

Yeah, same here and I'm sure that Red is well aware on how unfair that would be. He wants to protect her but I think he's enough experience in life to know that it's really difficult for a person not to know where her roots lie. And he knows it pains her, he always only has the best intentions and I think he'll tell her at some point. He planed on this the whole time it might just not be the right time for now. And Red told her that with time she would find all of that out, he promised her even (even about their connection). So yes, I guess Red has an emergency plan in case he shouldn't live to that day and Mr. Kaplan is important in that plan. :nod:

Susan is just awesome. I love her so much. I wish we'd get an interview with her or something because I'd love to know how she is in interviews, how she's talking when not playing a role.

And I just searched the internet for an interview of hers but couldn't find a single one :( That's really sad.

aww that is sad :no: I hope someone decides to interview her soon. I would like her thoughts on her role as well.

TFTNT Kris! Her 3rd one already and she has only been in 7 or 8 episodes! :D

That really sucks that there is not one interview to be found with Susan. :(

I agree. Red has to tell Liz the whole truth sometime. I just hope he won't die before he can do that cause I am sure that Mr. Kaplan knows a lot and knows what to tell Liz if Red were to die but there will be questions that Mr. Kaplan can't answer.

Maybe if she has a bigger part in season 3, she might be interviewed at some point :) I won't give up home.

True. I totally agree on that. Or maybe Mr. Kaplan and Dembe tell her together. I think Liz would trust Dembe more than Mr. Kaplan.

I somehow can't see Dembe telling her... I can't even say why because he's always been loyal, nice and really there for her, too. But somehow I think the better one with words is just Mr. Kaplan why I think she would be the best to know her. Besides, it has something to do with her age... :lol: She seems wiser to me because of her age.

I mean that Dembe would tell Liz if Red would be dead.

I really want to know if Mr. Kaplan has a husband and/or kids. I think she doesn't so how suprised would I be if she does..
