Mr. "Kate" Kaplan is a very mysterious woman.
She has worked for Raymond Reddington for many years.
She is Reddington's personal "cleaner" who comes in to scrub crime scenes.
She helps Reddington clean up after he kills Diane Fowler.
She also disposed the bodies of Lucy Brooks and the Cowboy after they are found by Reddington's people.

Because it's super badass for her to be named Mr. Kaplan
Because she knows what to do should Red be killed.
Because her first priority is protecting Red.
Because cleaning isn't her only talent.
Because she doesn't only get rid of people - she can find them as well.
Because she knows how to be cool in stressful situations.
Because she has a special bond with Red.
Because her history with Red goes way back.
Because she tells Red what he needs to hear.
Because she insisted on staying with Red after he told her to leave him.

BTW, the producers again introduced all of Red's special employees in those cast and crew interviews and since Mr. Kaplan was one of them I guess we'll see her again at some point this season :) She is still in play and I can't wait what she's needed for next!

It's so stunning! It was at the time because Susan really is awesome and so is Mr. Kaplan. She really is one of my fav characters of the show... Maybe coming right after Red, Liz, Aram and Ressler. :D

Me, too! We need new stuff about Mr. Kaplan! :) I love her humor as well... She's somehow really similar to Red when it comes to that. :D

I would like to know why she does what she does. I couldn't do the job she is doing. I wonder if something ever happened to her that she chose this kind of "job".

That's an interesting question, Miranda. I'm sure it's a high paying "job" but yeah, why do this for Red?

I bet it's a high paid job but I couldn't do it. Not even if they would give me millions of dollars.
