Aram Mojtabai, the IT specialist, and Elizabeth Keen, the profiler, met for the first time when she was supposed to go undercover and pretend to be an IT specialist. He didn't only remain being the IT specialist for long, but with Liz's help and through her advice overcame his fear of shooting a real person by shooting a criminal to save Liz's life. That was the point where she started to fully trust him, actually he was the only person she trusted in finding Red. It was not different the other way around, because she doesn't even need to show him a warrant for him to start a research on which topic ever. She even went to him with one of the most dangerous objects in the world, the Fulcrum. He baked her Red Velvet Cup Cakes for her birthday, ate one before she even got a chance to see or try one herself and made her laugh with telling her via phone. He knows she likes Beyonce and Dim Sum and calls her "agent Keen" out of respect for her. Their relationship is just special and one of great friendship.
