He was a firefighter for over 20 years. In the first two seasons, he combined his work at the fire department with his work on TBL.

Glad we could help you find out something new about Hisham. He was a fire fighter and a lot of his colleagues and friends died at 9/11.
 It's so sad. He once talked about it in an interview and it was touching and kind of unbelievable and unreal when he said what happened back then... Would he have been a bit earlier to the towers, he might not be alive either.__________________

It's so sad to think about that, that Hisham almost died. I am so glad he is still alive and was able to help out on 9/11.
