That gives me hope that she'll be back because that will put us a step closer to who Berlin is.

Me too I really want to know who Berlin is and why he's so adamant about ruining Red.

Maybe that'll be the big arc for 2A. With Gina free and the identity of Berlin revealed it feels like we're actually just in the middle of that plot. I do think that Berlin and answers to most the questions about Tom and Gina and Berlin's agents will be revealed by the end of season two. We'll probably meet another recurring baddie in season two. Plus with Jon saying season two will be less serialized it makes me think that there won't be as much time devoted the Berlin saga as in the first season. They'll probably save it for the premiere and the midseason finale.

There will definitely be another big baddie for next season. I still think Red will work up his vendetta on finding out who Berlin is and the FBI will still continue to help him with his Blacklist.

yes wrapping up the Berlin in season 2 would be great!! And I can't wait to meet the next big bad He/she should be even more menacing than Berlin

Yeah, I wonder what direction they'll go in for the next big bad. Berlin was all about spies and people not being who they said they were and the daughter mystery which is another question we should get an answer to next season. I really liked that. The episodes focused on Berlin were like mini spy thrillers. It'll be a hard one to top which makes me all the more excited. Berlin was kinda directly involved in the investigation (through his agents) so I'm guessing the next big bad will be too. It's the Blacklisters-of-the-week that tend to be focused on their own personal goals. What could be next though? A secretly evil person working in the FBI? A heinous politician which the ability to overlook the case? Actually that could work because it would tie into the D.C. environment.

So many ways they could go next season.

Hopefully not a soldier-turned-terrorist ala Homeland. Or a top-ranking FBI official working for Berlin. I agree that there are so many ways they can go about introducing a new baddie next season and with the quality of writing for S1, I hope for the same (or even more) next season.

I have a lot of faith in these writer's and I am really expecting them to give us a really formidable big bad next season. I think Berlin is an awesome big bad and most shows try to make each additional big bad a little badder

Yeah what they came up with in season one alone gives me faith for the rest of the series. If there is one thing the writers are excellent at it is writing criminals.

I have another additional question because I can't remember right now but did we ever find out if Meera continued to 'spy' on the FBI for Red? I don't think they really touched on that so much in the latter half of the season.
