For the record, I believe Kirk is lying as well. He hates Red god knows for what reason. Maybe it is true that Red and Katarin had an affair but everything else that comes out of his mouth are lies. They have to be.

I always thought they had an affair until Kirk said they did. Then I didn't believe it anymore.

I always knew that Red loved Katarina and I had a feeling that he could have been in a relationship with her and now Kirk told Liz about it. I think that is the only thing he told her that was true. Oh and that he has a blood disorder.

Honestly, Red loved his family soooo much and at the time of the affair I doubt that he would have betrayed his wife back then. I don't know but it's Red. I know that he very well could have been different back then. But I doubt it. Although I think there's the possibility that she was his job and him being an agent very well could have had him into an undercover mission Who knows.

If the affair is true then it's been his job I guess... I somehow doubt that he really willingly would have chosen to have an affair with her. Honestly, I'm tend more to believe this is a lie, too.
That doesn't have to mean he didn't have any feelings for her though.

But do you recall how full of joy he was when he was on his way to his family on Christmas Eve before he disappeared. I doubt a person would be if he was in love with another person, if he was having an affair. I doubt that, really.

Kris, you make me think of how much he values loyalty. I can't imagine Red betraying his wife or his child.

Although we know he has slept with other people's wives, so I don't know, .....Could he have known Katarina before he was married? I can't figure a time line.


I've been thinking about how Red told Kirk that Liz was never his to raise, and how he has twisted the story to make it look like Red took her from him and Katarina. I wonder if Kirk is crazy. Do you think he has made this reality up in his mind that is not true at all? Could he have been obsessed with Katarina to the point that he now believes things to be true that are not, even to the point of rebuilding a house that burned down?

Exactly That's not who Red is and I really hope it's not who he was...

Yes, indeed he slept with people's wives but it seemed that with those he was sleeping the husbands were cheating on them as well... Who knows I really can't say.

I really don't know about Kirk and his motives and if the stuff is true or not... I think it depends on what his agenda is because I'm sure there is one. And if it's Liz blood or bone marrow that he'd need we'll soon know if she's a match or not and if he might be telling the truth and they are kind of related.
I want Red to tell somebody who Kirk is! Nobody ever asked why Kirk could be that interested in Liz. That would have been my first question, honestly.

I don't see Red as the kind of person to cheat on his wife either but we don't know in what kind of circumstances he was living at the time. Not that anything would justify having an affair.

I think Red is not going to tell anybody that Kirk claims to be Liz's father. I think he doesn't want anybody to know that but I am sure the rest of the team is going to find out sooner or later.

Yes, I know Red said he was different, arrogant and he believes this is all his fault, but I still think he had his basic values, integrity, loyalty. I just think maybe he chose to believe the wrong person and when he realized his mistake, things were already in motion. It's just like Red to take the full blame

Marilyn, I agree with you about his basic values I don't think a person can change so much, some roots are set really early in life and although the change can be huge by all that a person experiences, some values will stick. The most important ones. And I just think that's it for him, loyalty, integrity.
