Sam would never put Liz in danger but maybe he wanted to clear his conscience before he died or he just wanted to be honest with her and since Red was in her life, he knew that Red would do everything to protect Liz. So maybe that is why Sa wanted to tell her?

I think maybe Sam thought that Liz was ready to know the truth now as well... To learn who she is and what happened in the past. I'm sure that Sam could really judge about it since he saw her growing up.

Btw, about another question that we had that we thought weren't answered... The question about who the apple man and the other guys were coming from. They were hired by the Cabal, that's for sure now. Because this one guy, that Liz and Kaplan stole the car from they checked the locations in the navigation system. And there was the address of that church. The church that used to be a blacksite... So he was there, the same place that Red was captured and who else besides the Cabal would know where they brought Red?
Besides, it explains why they knew about Liz's connection to Red right away and judging that Tom wasn't working for him... They tried to find out more by observing Liz Diane and Alan are members of the Cabal and we know both know about the arrangement he has with the FBI and that he only works with Liz. It came from them and we could have figured that out before Just saying.

But I was wondering about something. Diane and Alan somehow had opposite sides when it came to the task force and who they were working with. Alan pretended to not know that Red is that asset, the task force is working with and demanded the name from Diane. She didn't give it to him... If Diane really was part of the Cabal like we believed at the beginning, why would a scene like this one happen?

I was confused about that too. Maybe Diane did not know what Fitch was doing. Maybe Fitch did all that to let Red know that someone at the post office could not be trusted.

Or it was all a play for all the rest of the people that were in that room? I really don't know.

I love your idea of Fitch doing all of it to make Red aware of that one person in the post office that he can't trust... That there's a mole. But he would have Anslo let kill Red back there... Do you really think he would have done that when he actually only wanted to make Red aware of the mole?

I don't know Kris but your question makes me think of how Fitch helped him get away from the FBI. He told Red that all he could give him was a chance and Red says that's all I need.

So I think that Fitch believed that Red could get away from Garrick and that's why he left like he did.

It's funny that I never thought about the whole scene between Fitch and Diane until you brought it up

I didn't think about Diane and Fitch either like that. I think Fitch wanted Red to know there was a mole but how did Fitch know it was Diane? And maybe Fitch and Diane didn't know from each other that they were both corrupt?
