James Spader - Raymond "Red' Reddington

James Todd Spader was born on February 7, 1960 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Jean and Stoddard Greenwood "Todd" Spader. Both his parent were teachers.
During his early education, James attended The Pike School (where his mother taught art) and enrolled in the Brooks School (where his father taught) in North Andover, Massachusetts for one year.
He later transferred to Phillips Academy but dropped out in the 11th grade to pursue acting at the Michael Chekhov School in New York City.
Before becoming a full-time actor, he held a variety of jobs, including yoga instructor, busboy, truck driver, stable boy, and railroad car loader.
James is married to actress Leslie Stefanson. They have a son together; Nathaneal who was born in 2008.
He also has two sons (Elijah and Sebastian) from a previous marriage.


Megan Boone - Elizabeth Scott Keen

Megan Boone was born on April 29th 1983 in in Petoskey, Michigan, and raised in The Villages, Florida.
Her parents relocated there when she was a child to be closer to her grandparents.
Her grandfather was The Villages' developer and her mother is the Director of Sales.
Megan studied acting as a student at Belleview High School, where she graduated in 2001.
In 2005, she graduated from Florida State University's School of Theatre with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting.
Megan is dating Dan Estabrook and in April 2016 they welcomed their first daughter Caroline.


Diego Klattenhoff - Donald Ressler

Diego Klattenhoff was born on November 30th, 1979 in Nova Scotia, Canada.
As a kid, he always wanted to be a professional baseball player.
But he chose to pursue an acting career after moving to Toronto at the age of 19.
He started attending theater workshops for a number of years while working as a bartender.
He enjoys golf, swimming, baseball, and hockey in his free time.
Diego is married and has a son.


Ryan Eggold - Tom Keen/Jacob Phelps

Ryan James Eggold was born on August 10, 1984 in Lakewood, California.
Ryan graduated from Santa Margarita Catholic High School in 2002, where he participated in many school theater performances
and later from the University of Southern California's theater arts department in 2006.
In 2006, Ryan made his professional television debut by way of a guest appearance on the show Related.
He made his film debut the same year in the short film Con: The Corruption of Helm.
Besides his success as an actor, Ryan writes music, plays guitar and piano and sings in the band Eleanor Avenue.


Amir Arison - Aram Mojtabai

Amir Arison was born on March 24, 1978 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He is of Israeli descent.
Amir attended and graduated from Columbia University in New York City.
He began his acting career as an extra on the soap opera Guiding Light in 2003.
Amir has also appeared in Off-Broadway plays like Aftermath and the musical Queens Boulevard.


Mozhan Marno - Samar Navabi

Mozhan Marno was born in Los Angeles, California. She is from Iranian-American descent.
She went to boarding school at Phillips Academy, in Andover, Massachusetts.
She received her BA in French and German comparative literature from Barnard College of Columbia University and her MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama.
She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. She also directs and writes screenplays.
Her first feature-length screenplay, When the Lights Went Out, was a quarter finalist for the Nicholl Fellowship,
a finalist at the Nantucket Screenwriter's Colony, Sundance Screenwriter's Lab, and won third prize at the Cinequest Film Festival Screenwriting Competition.
She has adapted When the Lights Went Out as a play and it received its first production at New York Stage & Film in July 2013 starring Laura Innes from ER.
Mozhan has lived in France, Germany, Sweden and Argentina, and speaks French, German, Farsi, and Spanish.


Harry Lennix - Harold Cooper

The youngest of four siblings, Harry Joseph Lennix III was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Lillian and Harry Lennix jr.
Harry attended Quigley Preparatory Seminary South and Northwestern University, where he majored in Acting and Direction.
In his senior year at Northwestern, he was the coordinator of the African-American student organization, For members only.
He taught music and civics for several years in the Chicago public school system and is a frequent lecturer.
Harry is married to Djena Graves-Lennix since June 27th, 2009.

Hisham Tawfiq - Dembe Zuma

Hisham Tawfiq was born on May 17, 1970 in Harlem, New York. Hisham discovered
his love of the arts while performing the poem "I Know Why The Caged Byrd Sings" by Laureate Maya Angelou, in high school.
Hisham studied at the Negro Ensemble Theater Company, known for educating
actors such as Denzel Washington and Ossie Davis.
Prior to pursuing a full acting career, Hisham has served as a Marine deployed during Desert Storm from 1990 to 1995.
From 1994 to 1996, Tawfiq worked as a corrections officer in the Sing Sing Correctional Facility in New York.
He also served as a New York firefighter for over 20 years.
He recently retired from his job as a firefighter to fully focus on acting.
Hisham is married and has a son. He loves to snowboard and play golf in his free time.

Is Dembe the only new main cast member for next season? I haven't been reading up on the news so I wasn't sure if they had decided to add anyone else on the show.

Amy, yes, Dembe is the only new main cast member in season 3... Until now at least, we'll see what's going to come. Samar for example was appointed to be series regular in the first half of season 2. Everything is possible.

I wonder if they are going to add somebody totally new to the main cast. I would like hava another woman on the main cast.

Miranda, thanks so much for the videos. I've seen all of them before but I love them sooo much. I think that was the only time that we got the whole cast together... And then there was this other panel that Miranda brought over here not too long ago but that's it I think.

It's really sad that we haven't gotten a Diego/Megan interview in so long They were always so cool in interviews together, it was fun to watch those.

About the other female main character... I don't want them to add anybody because those who are main cast don't get enough storyline already so I would wish for them to get some more instead of adding another main character.

Maybe they will do some interviews between them before season 3 starts. It would be nice to get a hint about how things will work in season 3 between them.

I really hope Diego and Megan will do some interviews for S3! I really miss the interviews and the interaction they have together.

You have a point there. About not adding another main cast member because the others don't get enough screen time. I didn't think about that when I typed that so now I don't want someone new. That would probably mean even less Ressler, Aram and Samar and we don't want that.

I at least hope we'll get a few interviews before the show's season 3 premieres... I need spoiler because right now it feels so boring without anything. I need my show back!

It's always nice to have somebody new joining the cast but in the end, it more of a disadvantage for the cast we have now. And since Hisham is a main cast new I think there'll be less screen time already for some of them.
