what? no I never wondered that because that wouldn't make sense would it?

I need to let these two episodes sink in a little more but I think we could many answers some questions that are in the OP.

It's so funny to read all the things in here after these two episodes

I need to let the questions sink in as well but I'll start collecting the questions. We'll all getting them together together and then add them as soon as we all have sorted it out.

Who was Ilya to Katarina that they pledged their lives to each other at the age of six?
What happened to Katarina after Ilya took Raymond Reddington's identity?
Why did Ilya never stop being Raymond Reddington the whole time?
Did Dom really know the whole truth?
Who are the guys that are watching Ressler because he was digging into the Rostova files?
Why wouldn't Red want for Liz to know that his true identity is Ilya?

Fangirl49 04-28-2019 12:50 PM

Here's my question.

Is Ilya really the imposter Raymond Reddington? We see the surgery. We don't see the identity of the person on the table.

Who saved Masha from the fire? (That may already be a question)

Miranda 04-28-2019 01:24 PM

Great questions Kris! :)

Fangirl49 04-29-2019 12:48 PM

If this story parallels Aram and Samar, I was wondering if Ilya could have Levi's role. (Remember I don't believe he's Red). Or if he's playing Katarina and really wants the money.

I guess I'm trying to think if he really is Red, what does he have to feel guilty about. From this episode, I'd say nothing. But from everything we've seen, it seems like guilt and or revenge drive Red.

I wonder what year Red saved Dembe and if Dembe was with him before 1994 when he makes his appearance as Red.

I can't reconcile this in my mind at all. It's worse than Requiem as far as unanswered questions

I'd just really like to know if S1 Red with that backstory is true. If it's not I need to know now

Lauren Helen Graham 05-03-2019 05:47 AM

I believe that Red is Ilya... That stands for me for now.

Marilyn, I love your questions, too. So it's this list (of course I'll see if the one question is on the list already ):

What happened to Katarina after Ilya took Raymond Reddington's identity?
Why did Ilya never stop being Raymond Reddington the whole time?
Did Dom really know the whole truth?

Why wouldn't Red want for Liz to know that his true identity is Ilya?
Is Ilya really our imposter Red?
Who saved Masha from the fire?
What does Red mean with Dom making it all worse for them by telling Liz the 'truth'?

Fangirl49 05-03-2019 07:37 PM

Thanks kris. Do you think the painting in this episode is the one Red stole in the first episode?

You know what is odd for me? How much I liked Katarina in Cape May from Reds memory. And how much I dislike her now as I hear everyone else talk about her. I can't explain it. Maybe she's reminding me a lot of liz.

Miranda 05-04-2019 04:14 AM

So many questions! Now let's hope we get so answer them one day.

I also believe Ilya is Red. They wouldn't come up with this and have it all be a lie.

I also have another question but I don't know if it important enough to put in the OP.

Why is Liz off limits to Red according to Dom?

No, I don't think this is the same painting.

I really don't know... I would have to look into it tbh.

I really don't like her anymore either... Katarina was one of my favorite characters after Cape May but now. I think her really calculating, heartless, cold. I can't explain it.

Yes, I we'll put yours into the OP as well, Miranda  I'll do it next weekend the latest and have a look and see if there are any questions that we can answer now. :)

Fangirl49 05-05-2019 03:32 PM

I feel the same kris. That she's cold.

Miranda 05-06-2019 07:55 AM

In Red's memory she did feel different. I liked her better in Cape May as well. But since we have always known that she was with the KGB and that Red was project so we could have known that she was a cold, heartless person but now we have actually seen it.

Fangirl49 05-07-2019 12:05 PM

I think it's because we know how many people she was manipulating. RR, Kirk, Dom. Kaplan

And I'm gonna add Ilya to the mix. I think she used his feelings against him.

Miranda 05-08-2019 10:37 AM

On yes she definitly used his feelings to her advantage. She knew he was in love with her. Even a blind person could a see that Ilya was in love with Katarina. I bet that if he wouldn't have been in love with her, he would have never come up with the idea to become RR.

Fangirl49 05-08-2019 11:59 AM

So what do you think about the Christmas Eve story and the house he blew up?

Lauren Helen Graham 05-10-2019 01:21 AM

I agree with you guys... I believe that Katarina used Ilya, too and that she was well aware of his feelings for her. Since he was some kind of agent as well, I'm wondering though if he didn't realize as well. I know, love might make people blind but still. At least they had a connection since they were children.

Marilyn, I have actually no idea.
