I think this is the episode in which we find out a bit of just how much Cooper really knows.

Arrrgh Liz. Do you think she gave the prosecutors a reminder about the gun. Or even changed it out. Can't believe Red would have a gun to get him in trouble. He looked surprised

Why does he need the pharmacist.

Poor Dembe.

Luz is such a hypocrite. Doesn't want Cooper to help Red. Yet asked him to perjured himself when she killed the harbor master. I don't recognize her anymore.

I am glad Cooper did what he did and love their talk at the end. I think Cooper knew Red was turning himself in from the behinning

I loved the courtroom scenes. Total Alan shore. He won his case. About to be released and then the gun. Sigh.

Loved how the episode was about betrayal. Just like Liz.

Really good episode!

I loved it that Red defended himself. A shame though that he could get Marvin as his attorney. But the attorney that he had was a dweep so it is good that he defended himself. He did a good job at it imo.

I never in a million years thought that Cooper would lie for Red. Let alone being under oath. Lie about the crimes he committed during the agreement. You can't tell me that he only did it to protect himself and the team. He must have done it for Red as well. And that again, makes me think that he knows a lot more than he says he does.

I wonder why Red invested in Stark's research. Why does he count on Stark and what is Stark doing for him? Is Red maybe sick himself? or does he know somebody who is?

Liz. Liz Liz. She straight up lied to Dembe's face. It made me so mad. And so sad that Dembe can't find the one who betrayed them. He even says it; someone betrayed us. So he feels just as betrayed as Red does. That makes it even more sad. How will he react when he finds out it is Liz?

So now we know for sure that something is wrong with Samar's memory. I wonder when somebody is going to find out about it and who will notice first.

The way Cooper phrased it saying he had no direct knowledge of Reds crimes he may suspect but he didn't see them. It was a fine tight walk around the truth. But if I recall correctly, he totally lied for Liz by saying she was a working a case and I think she asked him too.

But yes I agree, he was protecting the team and found a way to protect Red. If he actually saw Red commit a murder, I wonder what he would have said.

Yes Dembe said us. I love that.

I think so too. His one on one conversations with Red away from the Post Office was a cue for me. I also get the feeling they know its Liz and Dembe is starting to suspect her as well. I am curious about Red's huge investment and what part it will play.

I finally saw the episode and I honestly thought it great

I love that Red requested Marvin to be his lawyer but was denied that wish So yeah, best thing was that he would step up himself to defend himself. It was fantastic. But damn it, the gun Do you think Liz gave the tip to the other prosecutor? I bet she did, how would he have known otherwise?

Cooper, I love Cooper. It's been one of my favorite things that he ever did! At least one is really interested in Red being treated fairly and I love that the judge was with him. I like the judge actually.

Samar... Oh no.

The doctor and Red's business with him... What is he doing? What could he be doing for Red? First a picture, then the scientist. I'm really at a loss here about that.

Liz no words. Do you think Dembe told her what Red is doing?

Oh, I loved the music soooo much.

I loved seeing Red defending himself in court ... was reminded of James's character (Alan) on Boston Legal. Especially when Red declared that his appointed lawyer seemed like he had a bus to catch. The sarcasm was definitely Alan .

Have to admit that I am NOT loving this storyline. We're supposed to believe that Red and Dembe have NO clue that Liz is the one who is currently in the act of betraying Red? Red and Dembe are extremely smart and savvy people. They wouldn't have lasted that long on the run without knowing who to trust, how to read people who were trying to play them. Yet now we're supposed to believe that Liz is actually fooling Red and Dembe, when she's not fooling many of the viewers? Not only that, but Dembe raised a point that only those closest to Red would know that he carries a gun that wouldn't be registered. Is it truly a coincidence that the lady sitting in on the trial suddenly just "knew" that Red violated the agreement, when only those on the task force would know what was considered a violation? For Dembe and Red in S1, that would be a HUGE red flag that the traitor is Liz. When Liz went to Cooper to ask him to do nothing so that Red stays behind bars, Cooper didn't even call her on it or say something like, "You sound like you want him to remain in prison." Um, does that not alert ANYBODY on the show as to what is going on?!

This is asking us to suspend disbelief and truly think that Red and Dembe are suddenly fools. And they're not.

I really hope Red finds out soon that it is Liz who betrayed him. How can she go and stand chatting to him lying right to his face. At least red admits he has secrets from her. She has no integrity like cooper. Was made up for cooper and what he did for the force and red. At least he has some gratitude for what red is doing. Liz seems so obsessed with finding out who he is rather than what he has done for her and the loyalty he has .

I wonder if she has a master plan to get him out once she has found out his identity or if she is just so heartless that she will let him rot in prison if she doesn’t like the outcome of who he is . Does she actually care for him or just obsessed with her past that she will give him up like that?

The Stark guy is interesting. Clearly red has a plan to do something later down the line which will I guess save someone’s life . Maybe Samar ? What’s going on with her and her memory loss ? I hope something major doesn’t happen and it’s her fault cause of it !

Good episode though . Loved how James was able to dip into his Alan shore role 😂

Donna, I'm sure they are not wanting us to believe that and I bet that Dembe and Red don't believe it either... I really believe that they suspect her already. Who wouldn't? She didn't play me when it came to Sutton Ross and her little staging of everything. How could she play a person like Red there?

Like I said before, I believe that Liz gave them away as well. How else would they know?

Marauders I'm super happy to see you back and I totally agree on Liz here. It's depressing.

Aww, love your idea with Stark and what he is doing being for Samar. Nice one. Not sure if that could be possible but it's really a great idea. We at least know that it must be something that is timed.

Good eppy

Really liked the court room scenes with Red and the judge , I had a feeling Red would represent himself

Aww Harold. He's the only one in the task force looking out for Red, while apart from Aram. Really liked their scenes...

Dembe still looking out for Red on the outside , I wonder what Stark has to do with it all ?.

I wouldn't be surprised if Liz told the prosecution about the gun, be typical of her , cannot trust what she is doing now...

D- I wonder if Red/Dembe are playing Liz as they already know ?

Marauders I like your question about Liz having a master plan to save Red in the end. My answer is no. I don't understand her at all. She acts like Red has never done anything good.

At least Cooper can see both sides. I have always enjoyed how straight up they are with each other. They may yell at each other but turn around and work together.

The courtroom scenes were the best. Makes me miss Boston legal. I could see no way for Red to win the argument and then he made his case and I agreed with him.

I think Liz told the court about the gun. Who else could have done it? It had to be her.

If Red really needs the pharmacist for Samar, how does he knows that something is wrong with Samar? She hasn't eve told her doctor and as far as I know, Red hasn't seen Samar yet this season. And nobody else knows about. She hasn't even told her doctor So how would he know? Than again, Red always seems to know everything..
