Do you recall when this stupid guy (I forgot his name) took over for a few episodes at the end of season 1 and the beginning of season 2. I have his name on my tongue but it really won't come to me fully.

I don't recall him dying... I think he simply was gone. But where did he go and why?
I really don't recall that.ETA - Actually I do. Cooper came back after Red visited him at home and told him that he should finish what he started. __________________
