that's a great gif set!! I think the only reason why Sam even wanted to tell Liz is because he was dying. When death approaches I think people start to rethink their decisions. I understand why Red wasn't willing to risk anything happening to Liz, but it was still horrible that he killed Sam

It was really horrible how Sam died. It was also a very sad moment with Red kissing Sam before killing him.

Me too. Sam was going to die anyway, he only has a few weeks left. Though Red was fearful he might tell Liz the truth especially now that he's dying. Whatever his secret is, it died along with Sam.

I feel so bad for Liz though because Red also took away her chance to say goodbye to Sam in person before he died

I think it showed that not only did Red respect Sam but he cared for him - which makes me even more curious about about their history together. I would love to see a flashback with them together.


Kinda a rare episode where the blacklister was not very central to the story at all.

In 1x03,Liz asked Red 'why me?"Red did answer because of your father. Why didn't Liz ask Sam about Red after Red surrendered to FBI? When I watched the first 3 eps, we know a little about Liz's background.I thought her dad maybe dead.

I don't know. That's a good question. I guess it would have to be referring to Sam because it doesn't seem like Liz knows who her real dad is.

I think Red referred to Liz's real father,but Liz thought Red referred to Sam.Other than ep 3, Liz also asked "you know my parents?" when they were at a restaurant in ep 2. We didn't know where Liz's family was before ep 8.I was under impression that Liz's adoptive father was dead,so she couldn't find some answers herself.But suddenly Sam called and was in hospital.It was odd why Liz didn't come to visit Sam in the first place and talk about Red.I don't think she asked Sam off screen as per the episodes afterwards.It seems like the writers want to keep the Red/Liz relationship mystery in the dark.

And this one was so intense... I still can't believe that Red killed her father, but I still believe he wouldn't have died Sam just to prevent him from telling Liz the truth. I'm sure he killed him because he was his friend and he wanted to die and he practically asked him to do this. He gave the nod, he was ready to die because he couldn't stand the thought of slowly dying in a hospital room. And maybe see her see him suffer. Still, it broke my heart.
