I don't think they asked her to come in the last few episodes for the season just for nothing, not nothing per se... but without any meaning behind it. Especially with Sandra leaving..

Shonda doesn't know where she's going with Amelia yet, apparently, so anything is possible. I agree, it's no coincidence that she brought Amelia in of all people, though, especially with Cristina leaving. Amelia was always PP's Yang.

TBH I can see Amelia going off about something and Mer being like, "I like you."

Maybe that's the start of their friendship.

And Mer is in the room when Derek and Amelia are presenting. She seems intrigued. Curious to see what their interaction will look like. I still could see Amelia noticing if Meredith is intrigued by neuro.
