They had always had this special chemistry...that didnt change, it was present even in those last scenes that I dont want to remember...and even more so in those that I want to remember..and hopefully, nothing will taint them...(though is hard with all the craziness around)

The real fans, the ones who really loved them, will be intelligent enough not to criminalize Ellen/Meredith just because she's still on the show (as she had always intended to be when she signed her contract).

It's interesting how this has played out in the fandom- it has kind of separated those who have authentically cared about M/D and E/P from those who will turn against one of them so quickly it will make your head spin. Such phonies. In real life, I avoid bitter hags like that at all costs. In the end, Ellen and Patrick are two good people who are trying to continue living their lives and move on after a crappy work situation. People judging either of them are really pathetic.
