and i hate how they say i only like them because derek died. what a slap in the face. i was a big mer/der fan but i always kinda liked alex/mer on the side. it wasnt my choice to kill derek off, it was theres. so heaven forbid i support a different relationship for meredith.

and if people only view them as friends, i am totally fine with that. i get it. but i dont get when people hate on them or their fans and claim that people who ship them are messed up or reaching. like such crap. its an appreciation thread!!! i wish they would just leave.

and I've been a greys fan for a long time. i never had hope for them because it always felt platonic to me. but i agree that theres been a shift. i think the real problem is that people are threatened that it will actually happen and thats where all the anger is stemming from. because jo/alex are written so horribly they take it out on a relationship that is actually fleshed out.

I love Meredith and Derek but i dont find MerAlex completely wrong as some people claim. Like i said I never really thought of them in a romantic way because i always love Meredith and Derek. But i always. Always love their friendship.

I dont know whether i want them to go there. But i can admit that the idea of them is intriguing.

I do worry what it might do to their friendship if they would ever cross that line

The only real problem I would have with Mer/Alex crossing that line would be what it could do to their amazing friendship. They are closer than ever and need each others friendship. I wouldn't want them to lose that.

Yes same... I wouldn't mind if they go there now. But I don't want their amazing friendship to be ruined. One of the best things in Grey's.

Their scenes in the episode were great. He knows her so freaking much. Ellen and Justin are always wonderful on screen together.

I can agree with that, but I think the writers could do a romance in an organic and natural way.

Then again Greys is great at ruining romances and running them into the ground so maybe not....
