She did last night, yes, so that could also be why she chose the song... it could still have a double meaning in relation to the scene they were filming. I mean, Grey's is a medical drama and ambulances have flashing lights.

I could just be thinking too deep, but who knows. I over-analyze everything. Guess we'll find out in October (since 11x02 airs October 2).

I imagine episode 1 will be too.... But Bill writes more angst than Stacy, I feel like, so episode 2 will probably be on fire.

I hope so. I'm so ready for the angst and drama, and for Ellen (and Patrick) to have real storylines.

Maybe episode 2, is Derek leaving for DC.

I wonder if Patrick was on set this last week. He was in LA all week, so I imagine he was at some point. He probably was there Friday, since Ellen and Caterina were both there and they'd be the two he'd be most likely to have scenes with in the early episodes this season.

Had a feeling it's gonna happen, Shonda basically gave it out in the THR interview. Hope we'll see little Mer too.

Yeah, I hope so too. "She said something to Richard before she left," so I imagine we'll see that. Somehow I feel like it has something to do with the merry-go-round.... like that's what they were arguing about there.

I won't be surprised if Ellis put Mer somewhere when she was heavily pregnant and close to birth..

That time period is unclear. We don't know exactly when Ellis slit her wrists. We know Ellis took Mer across the country when she was 5. So, I wonder if Maggie was born before or after Ellis moved East. I would imagine after. I'd say maybe Mer stayed with Thatcher for a little while, but you'd think she'd remember that. She hated her father for leaving, after all, which means Thatcher left before Ellis moved. That whole story is fuzzy, so hopefully it'll become clearer through flashbacks. Maybe Thatcher found out Ellis was pregnant with another man's baby and that's why he left.
