I think Mer will be a big part of this storyline. "Medical superhero" damn if she will be on her case too.. would make for a great storyline. She spend years working with Derek.. and she really saved a guy with a brain injury on the plane!

Yes! I really wish she had stayed in neuro all those years ago. The reason she left wasn't right (no one deserves a "punishment" from their spouse).

But maybe the show can conjure a way where it's realistic Mer is involved in her medical care even though she's been specializing in general.

No matter what, though, Amelia is her sister in law ... hope to see Meredith be vocal in that role during this.

Idk though ... if they didn't bother have the Shepherds show up when Derek died, I guess they won't for Amelia's tumor either.

Of course, the death was such a last minute thing ... I mean, Patrick shot on the ferryboat just two weeks before his last episode aired. So maybe they didn't have time to plan getting the actors. We'll see if they bother this time when they can plan things out better.

true, everything was so quick in s11, maybe they didn't have time.. and Mer was more important to show anyways during that time. It was a hard, painful time, that I could careless about the Shepherds or how they were feeling tbh. My main concern was to see Meredith [and the kids].

But yes, since this story is planned maybe we'll see them.
