I'm sure, people will watch earlier on streams, and it depends whether their will be quite a few of their faves. I know I skipped some episodes this season for the first time ever.

yeah there are a couple of episodes I didn't even bother to watch. wasn't even upset when my DVR didn't record them

Doubt there's anything Shonda can or will do, because like I said, they've done this with multiple shows in the past, and yes, they've all taken rating hits.

It's going to take a rating hit anyway airing an hour earlier, plus the loss of Cristina. So many people are say they won't watch without her already. Some "fans" they were.

I don't skip episodes. Even the episodes I don't particularly like, I find some good in. And the episodes I was most looking forward to turned out to be the ones I didn't particularly like, and the ones I thought would be bad actually turned out to be some of my favorites...

Parenthood had the same thing, where it aired in Canada a day earlier, and it did not take a ratings hit. That being said, it's really stupid and I truly hate the Canadian network for doing that. It's the networks, ABC in this case, that need to step up and not sell the rights to their shows if the Canadian network is going to spoil it.

Let's hope real fans of the show who count towards ratings will watch it on Thusdays as they always have and not illegally download the episodes. This is the part of illegal downloads that sucks.

I'm actually more upset by the 8pm move. That's not treating their well-established show that has made them gazillions of dollars well.

I seriously don't see the ratings taking that huge of a hit because of Sandra. Some people may say they won't watch without her, but people talk a lot. They all promised to stop watching when Mark & Lexi died as well. Sandra's fanbase doesn't seem very significant to me, there are a few die-hard Crowen fans out there (poor things) - but a lot of them worship Kevin and he's still on.

I never skip any episodes - it messes up the fluency of storytelling for me. Also, when I'm explaining to someone why I don't like a character, I like to sound intelligent about their storylines so I can prove why they're unworthy in comparison to M/D.

In my humble opinion, even with some characters and storylines I don't care for, it's still by far the best show on tv. There's no show I get more excited for each week. And I've tried them all (and consistently watch a few).

IMO the Grey's cast has the best chemistry out of most shows on TV. I mean, really, all the characters are interesting in their own way to me. It's just the only COUPLE I care about is MerDer. Ultimately, I like Meredith's friendship with every single character. For me, the "Power of Meredith" works on just about any character...except Leah. It didn't work on Leah. She was no matter what.

There's just something about the character of Meredith Grey that draws me in. At first, I was unsure about her, but I quickly grew to love her. I was reflecting a bit on it earlier, and I guess it's because her character is so me. I have the same trust and abandonment issues that early season Grey's Meredith had. I mean, my mom was the anti-Ellis, but I had a lot of other experiences that shaped me into the person I am today.

Yeah, I agree, in the end Meredith's story is beyond compelling. One of the most interesting fictional characters I've ever encountered. I am so invested in her. As long as Ellen is on the show portraying her, I will be in love with this show.

she has the most growth. and even after 10 years there is still plenty to explore. i think it also has to do with how Ellen brilliantly portrays her.

Hopefully it won't take a big hit because of Sandra.
