yeah they can afford it for sure. they own a hospital on top of everything.

but as you said they want to be their kids' primary caregivers. and that ia not wrong

Maybe they had interviewed only the bad nannies! LOL

And ITA with you both. i think this SL is the more realistic that had been thrown at MerDer in a long time. A real issue that happens and it's a challenge to solve without leaving some hurts feeling or resentment that could ruin families lives....Indeed in this case I dont even think having a nanny to help them would solve the problem because right now it's more about what career will have to take a step back, Mer if she follows Der and became a trailing spouse or Der by staying and doing something that he uses to loves but now is not enough...remember surgeons are competitive creatures and kinda adicted to work so doing less than what an almost god is not an option....

A true challenge.. we'll see how they deal with it.

In my mind they don't want nannies, cause Mer was raised by them, and she doesn't want that for their kids.

This would be an issue even if they didn't have kids. It's about Mer wanting to stay in Seattle and Derek wanting to move to DC. Of course the kids tie them together. If there weren't kids involved, it's easy to think they could break up or not fight as hard to stay together.

I don't like that Canada will be airing Grey's Wednesday, everyone is going to watch at different times, spoilers and it must hurt the ratings, it's bad enough they changed to 8pm on Thursday.

Yeah, I dont like it either....I wasnt too concerned about the moving to 8pm slot because let face it, Grey's is stablished and probably lot of people would watch regardless, and in terms of ABC it was a move that make senses, now this new that Canada will air a day before could be very bad because ppl would decide to watch or not live depending of the spoilers or comments ...stupid CTV!

That screwed SVU a few times this year when Canada decided to air it a day earlier. Their ratings took a major dip and spoilers were all over the Internet.

I'll still watch live regardless. I'll just avoid the Internet on Wednesdays I guess.

I hate when CTV does this.
